 Հունաստանի ոստիկանությունը լուսա-աղմկահան նռնակներ Է կիրառել միգրանտների դեմ, որոնք Լեսբոս կղզու Միտիլինի նավահանգստում փորձում Էին ճեղքել-անցնել Blue Star 1 լաստանավ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով Աթենքի նորությունների գործակալությանը: Մի քանի օր Է՝ նավահանգստում են գտնվում հազարավոր միգրանտներ , հիմնականում՝ աֆղանցիներ: Սեպտեմբերի 4-ի առավոտյան մոտավորապես հազար աֆղանցիներ «Աթե՛նք, Աթե՛նք» բացականչություններով փորձել են ճեղքել-անցնել միգրանտների փոխադրող լաստանավ:

Ոստիկանությունը եւ առափնյա պահպանության ուժերը կիրառել են լուսա-աղմկահան նռնակներ, իսկ նավի գրավումը հաջողվել Է կանխել՝ բարձրացնելով մուտքի թեքուղին: 

Հունաստանի իշխանությունները միգրանտներին լաստանավերով երկրի մայրցամաքային մաս են տեղափոխում այն կղզիներից, որտեղ փախստականների ներհոսքի պատճառով անչափ բարդ իրադրություն Է ստեղծվել: Մասնավորապես սեպտեմբերի 4-ի առավոտյան «Էլեֆտերիոս Վենիզելոս» լաստանավը Էգեյան ծովի չորս կղզիներից Պիրեա նավահանգիստ Է հասցրել 2504 ներգաղթյալների:

ԶԼՄ-ների հաղորդագրությունների համաձայն՝ վրդովված բնակիչների եւ միգրանտների միջեւ սեպտեմբերի 3-ի երեկոյան բախումներ են տեղի ունեցել Կոս կղզու ոստիկանական բաժանմունքի մոտակայքում: Նրանք սկսել են միմյանց վրա քարեր նետել, իսկ ոստիկանությունն արցունքաբեր գազ Է կիրառել, երբ միգրանտները փորձել են հարձակվել ոստիկանական տեղամասի վրա: Երկու ժամ քաղաքի ամբողջ առափնյա շրջանում անկարգություններ են տեղի  ունեցել:

Սեպտեմբերի 4-ին Կոս են ժամանելու Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի փոխնախագահ Ֆրանս Տիմերմանսը եւ միգրացիայի հարցերի եվրակոմիսար Դիմիտրիս Ավրամոպուլոսը:

Ըստ Հունաստանի իշխանությունների տվյալների՝ տարեսկզբից երկիր Է ժամանել ավելի քան 230 հազար միգրանտ: Ներգաղթյալների ներհոսքը կտրուկ աճել Է վերջին երկու ամիսներին: Նրանց հիմնական մասը բաժին Է ընկնում հինգ կղզիների, այդ թվում Լեսբոս Է ժամանում միգրանտների կեսը, Խիոս՝ 14 տոկոսը, Սամոս՝ 12 տոկոսը, Կոս՝ 28 տոկոսը, միգրանտների մի փոքր մասն Էլ ժամանում Է Լերոս: Գաղթականների ալիքը հարվածել Է կղզիների տնտեսությանը, կտրուկ կրճատվել Է զբոսաշրջությունը, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստի գործակալությունը:
