 Հայաստան և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետություն այցելած բելգիացի խորհրդարանականները լավ գիտեն, որ Ադրբեջանի քաղաքացիական հասարակության մեծ մասը չի կիսում իշխանությունների դիրքորոշումը: ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովում կայացած մամուլի ասուլիսի ընթացքում բելգիացի պատգամավորները նշեցին, որ ամեն օր լսում են Ադրբեջանում մարդու իրավունքների խախտումների մասին:

 «Մարդու իրավունքների միջազգային կազմակերպություններ, եվրոպական տարբեր կառույցներ ամեն օր անդրադառնում են մարդու իրավունքների կոպիտ խախտումներին: Մենք գիտենք, որ Ադրբեջանում քաղաքացիական հասարակության մեծ մասը չի կիսում իշխանությունների դիրքորոշումը, ինչը մեզ մտահոգում է: Կարծում եմ, որ մեզ համար այլևս դժվար կլինի Ադրբեջան գնալ՝ իրավիճակին ավելի լավ ծանոթանալու համար: Միևնույն ժամանակ շատ դժվար է կապ հաստատել այդ երկրի քաղաքացիական հասարակության ներկայացուցիչների հետ»,- Արմենպրեսի « հաղորդմամբ՝ նշեց Բելգիայի տարածաշրջանային խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Սիմոնա Զյուսկինդը՝ հավելելով, որ իրենց Հայաստանում և ԼՂՀ-ում զարմացրել է այն հանգամանքը, որ մարդկանց մոտ հակառակորդի նկատմամբ ատելություն չի սերմանվում:

Բրյուսելի տարածաշրջանային խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Էրվե Բուայենն իր հերթին ընդգծեց, որ Բրյուսել վերադառնալուց հետո իրենց առաջնային գործը կլինի եվրոպական տարբեր կառույցներում մանրամասն նեկրայացնել այն, ինչ տեսել են Հայաստանում և Արցախում: «Մենք կդիտարկենք նաև Ադրբեջան այցելելու հնարավորությունը, որպեսզի այնտեղ էլ ավելի մոտիկից ծանոթանանք իրավիճակին, հասկանանք, թե ինչպես կարելի է նպաստել տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության հաստատմանը: Իհարկե, մենք հասկանում ենք, որ այդ հարցը միանգամից չենք կարող լուծել, մենք նույնիսկ նման լիազորություն էլ չունենք, սակայն մենք կարող ենք մեր ներդրումն ունենալ կողմերի հաշտեցման և խաղաղություն հաստատելու գործընթացում, որի համար մեզ հարկավոր է իրավիճակին ավելի լավ ծանոթ լինել, նպաստել քաղաքացիական հասարակություների շփումներին»,- ընդգծեց բելգիացի պատգամավորը:
