 Հայաստանի Հանրային ռադիոյի գործադիր տնօրեն Արմեն Ամիրյանը ՀՀ անկախութան 24-րդ տարեդարձի կապակցությամբ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի հրամանագրով ստացել է մշակույթի վաստակավոր գործչի  պատվավոր կոչում: ՀՀ նախագահական նստավայրում կայացած պարգևատրման արարողությունից հետո Արմեն Ամիրյանը զրուցեց լրագրողների հետ՝ ընդգծելով, որ անկախությունն իր մոտ ասոցացվում է ընտանիքի, զավակների, օջախի հետ: «Ես կարծում եմ` եթե մենք 24 տարի առաջ առիթ ունեինք ընտրելու անկախությունը, ես շատ ուրախ եմ, որ այսօր իմ զավակներն այդ ընտրելու հնարավորություն չունեն, քանի որ անկախությունն արդեն փաստ է և բարձրագույն արժեք բոլորի համար»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ ընդգծեց Ամիրյանը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ շատ հուզիչ է հատկապես այն պահը, երբ հայ ազգի զոհված հերոս տղաները հետմահու պարգևատրվում են ՀՀ նախագահի հրամանագրով: «Սա վկայում է այն մասին, որ անկախությունն այլևս փաստ է ու գոյություն ունի, ապրելակերպ է դարձել մեր զավակների համար և մեր հայրենիքի ապագան է: Համոզված եմ, որ այն «այո»-ն, որ մենք ասել ենք 24 տարի առաջ, տվել է իր պտուղները: Մենք տեսնում ենք այն զարգացումը, որ անկախության տարիներին ապրել է մեր հայրենիքը: Եկեք հիշենք նաև, որ 24 տարի առաջ, երբ մենք «այո» ասացինք անկախությանը, այն ժամանակ հետխորհրդային երկրնե րից որևէ մեկը դեռ չէր ինքնորոշվել: Նրանք անկախությանն «այո» ասացին այն ժամանակ, երբ փաստացի փլուզվել էր Խորհրդային Միությունը, իսկ նրանք այլ ելք չունեին: Մեր կամքը հաստատակամ էր,  մենք պետք է տեր կանգնենք 24 տարի առաջ մեր կայացրած որոշմանը»,- ընդգծեց Ամիրյանը:

Հարցին, անկախության տարիներին Հայաստանի մշակույթի բնագավառում ի՞նչ զարգացումներ են արձանագրվել, Ամիրյանը պատասխանեց. «Մշակույթն այս ընթացքում փորձությունների է ենթարկվել և դեռ ենթարկվելու է, սակայն, չնայած դրան, մեր մշակույթը համաշխարհային համբավ և ճանաչում է ձեռք բերել: Եկեք հիշենք մեր մշակույթի գործիչներին, մեր երիտասարդներին, ովքեր աշխարհին ներկայանում են իրենց բարձր արվեստով: Ես համոզված եմ, որ հայաստանյան մշակույթը դեռ շատ ճանապարհ ունի անցնելու և բարձրացնելու է անկախության գաղափարը համայն հայության համար»:
