Հավերժական սառածության հալումը մարդկության համար կարժենա երեքից մինչեւ 166 տրիլիոն դոլար (2100 թվականին): Այս եզրակացությանն են հանգել ամերիկացի կլիմայագետները՝ հաշվարկելով գլոբալ տաքացումից տնտեսական վնասը: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է Արմենպրեսը, այս մասին հաղորդել Է Science News-ը՝ վկայակոչելով Nature Climate Change հանդեսը:

Գլոբալ տաքացման համեմատ ուժեղանում Է հավերժական սառածության հալումը, ինչի հետեւանքով մոլորակի մթնոլորտում գոյանում են ջերմոցային գազեր: Այդ գործընթացից տնտեսական վնասը գնահատելու համար գիտնականները նախ հաշվարկել են, թե որքան մեթան եւ ածխածնի երկօքսիդ կանջատեն հավերժական սառածության տարածքները: Հաշվարկների համաձայն՝ եթե մինչեւ 2100 թվականը մթնոլորտում ածխաթթվական գազի մակարդակը 75 տոկոսով աճի (մարդու գործունեության պատճառով), ապա դա կարժենա շուրջ 326 տրիլիոն դոլար:       

Իսկ հավերժական սառածության հալումն այդ գումարին կավելացնի երեքից մինչեւ 166 տրիլիոն, կախված Արկտիկայի տաքանալու ինտենսիվությունից: Միջին ցուցանիշը 43 տրիլիոն Է, բայց ավտոմոբիլներից եւ արդյունաբերական ձեռնարկություններից արտանետումների կտրուկ կրճատումները կարող են գինը նվազեցնել մինչեւ վեց տրիլիոն, կարծում են գիտնականները:
