Այս պահին «Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ» հիվանդանոցի դիմաց հավաքվել են մեծ թվով ազատամարտիկներ, որոնք բողոքի խաղաղ ակցիա են անցկացնում՝ կապված իրենց մարտական ընկերոջը` Սմբատ Հակոբյանին ծեծի ենթարկելու հետ: Նշենք, որ ազատամարտիկների հետ զրույցի ընթացքում պարզ դարձավ, որ վերջիններս դեռ հստակ կողմնորոշում չունեն այն մասին, թե ով է ազատամարտիկին ծեծելու հրաման տվել: Նրանք կարծում են, որ գործի բացահայտումն առաջին հերթին իշխանություններին է պետք, որ ժողովուրդն ու ազատամարտիկները հավատան, որ տեղի ունեցածը չի իրականացվել իշխանությունների հրահանգով:

Արթուր Հովհաննիսյանը կարծում է, որ եթե գործը չբացահայտվի, ապա իրենք կհամարեն, որ տեղի ունեցածը հաշվեհարդար է` կազմակերպված իշխանությունների կողմից: «Այն, որ նման բարբարոսություն է կատարվել մի ազատամարտիկի նկատմամբ, ով կանգնած է անկախության հիմքերում, ով պատրաստ է եղել իր կյանքը նվիրաբերել հայրենիքի անկախությանը, սա ոչ միայն հանցագործություն է, այլեւ ուղերձ ողջ ժողովրդին սահմանադրական փոփոխություններից առաջ, որ երկրում կա ու շարունակվում է անպատժելիության մթնոլորտ տիրել եւ որ ոմանց համար չկա սրբություն»,- ասաց նա:

Ըստ նրա՝ թեև տեղի ունեցածն անթույլատրելի է եւ խիստ դատապարտելի, այնուամենայնիվ, հուսահատությունն այս պարագայում տեղ չունի գործում: «Մեր ժողովուրդը պետք է տեղի ունեցածը ճիշտ հասկանա ու ճիշտ հետեւություններ անի: Նման վերաբերմունքն անթույլատրելի է: Մենք պետք է հուսահատվենք ու ձեռնամուխ լինենք, որ երկրում ազատամարտիկները օրինականություն հաստատեն: Հայաստանում կա վախի մթնոլորտ եւ հիմա փորձ է արվում դա ավելի ոժեղացնել, քանի որ եթե ազատամարտիկի նկատմամբ նման փորձ է արվում, ապա հասարակ քաղաքացու նկատմամբ քայլերն ակնհայտ կլինեն: Մեր ժողովուրդն անցել է բազում փորձությունների միջով, ունեցել է Սարդարապատ, որի ժամանակ համախմբվել է ու թուրքական ահռելի բանակի դեմ դուրս գալով հաջողության է հասել, ուզում եմ նկատել, որ սա այդքան էլ չլուծվող հարց չէ»,- հավելեց նա:
