Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ ծայրագույն պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսը սեպտեմբերի 23-ին Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունել է Հայ կաթողիկե եկեղեցու Պատրիարք Ամենապատիվ Գրիգոր-Պետրոս Ի Կապրոյանին` ուղեկցությամբ Հայաստանում, Վրաստանում և Արևելյան Եվրոպայում Հայ կաթողիկե եկեղեցու առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Ռաֆայել արքեպիսկոպոս Մինասյանի: Սա նորընտիր Պատրիարքի առաջին այցելությունն է Հայաստան և Մայր Աթոռ Ս. Էջմիածին:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգից, հանդիպմանն Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսն իր շնորհավորանքն է բերել Գրիգոր-Պետրոս Ի Պատրիարքին ընտրության ու գահակալության առիթով` մաղթելով նրան արգասավոր ծառայություն: Իր խոսքում Նորին Սրբությունը գնահատանքով է ընգծել, որ վերջին տարիներին Հայաստանյայց առաքելական և Հռոմի կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու միջև հարաբերությունները վերելք են ապրում և հատկանշված են սերտ համագործակցությամբ:

Այս կապակցությամբ Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետը գոհունակությամբ հիշել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի առիթով Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետ Ֆրանցիկոս Պապի կողմից ապրիլի 12-ին Վատիկանի  Ս. Պետրոսի տաճարում մատուցված սրբազան  Պատարագի արարողությունը և Պապի կողմից հնչեցված ուղերձը` միտված մարդկության կյանքում նորանոր ոճիրների և ցեղասպանությունների կանխարգելմանը: Նորին Սրբությունը հաստատել է, որ համաշխարհային զարգացումների արդի պայմաններում եկեղեցիներն արդարության ճանապարհ կարող են հարթել միմիայն համատեղ ջանքերով, փոխադարձ աջակց ությամբ և աղոթքով:

Իր հերթին Հայ Կաթողիկե Պատրիարքը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Ամենայն Հայոց կլաթողիկոսին իր ընտրության առիթով հղված շնորհավորական ուղերձի և մաղթանքների համար: Զրույցի ընթացքում Գրիգոր-Պետրոս Ի Պատրիարքը նշել է, որ պիտի ջանա ուժերի ներածին չափով իր հոգևոր փորձառությունը ծառայեցնել ի շահ իր հոտի, ինչպես նաև զորացնել հարաբերությունները Հայաստանյայց առաքելական սուրբ եկեղեցու հետ:

Հանդիպմանը ներկա են եղել Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի արտաքին հարաբերությունների և արարողակարգի բաժնի տնօրեն Գերաշնորհ Տ. Նաթան արքեպիսկոպոս Հովհաննիսյանը, Մայր Աթոռի լուսարարապետ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Հովնան եպիսկոպոս Հակոբյանը և Մայր Աթոռի միջեկեղեցական հարաբերությունների բաժնի տնօրեն Հոգեշնորհ Տ. Շահե վարդապետ Անանյանը:
