 Միջազգային հանրությունը ունի համապատասխան լծակներ՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության գոտում Ադրբեջանի սադրիչ գործողությունները զսպելու համար, սակայն դրանք ամբողջովին չի կիրառում: Հոկտեմբերի 1-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը նման կարծիք հայտնեց ԱԺ ՀՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր, «Եվրոպական ինտեգրացիա» հասարակական կազմակերպության նախագահ Կարեն Բեքարյանը: «Ես կարծում եմ , որ դրա պատճառն այն է, որ շահերն արժեքներից վեր են դասվում: Սա նոր բան չէ համաշխարհային քաղաքականության մեջ: Նման կեցվածքը շատ վտանգավոր է, որովհետև եթե առաջին հայացքից դա թվում է բնական, չկա պատկերացումը նրա, որ դա աշխատում է շատ կարճաժամկետ կտրվածքով: Եթե հիմա իրավիճակը դուրս գա վերահսկողությունից և հակամարտությունը վերածվի լայնածավալ ռազմական գործողությունների, անգամ նրանք, ովքեր իրենց շահերով շարժվելով նպաստ էին բերում իրավիճակին, չեն շահելու: Կողմերից որևէ մեկը չի շահելու՝ դա կլինեն համակարտության անմիջական կողմերը, դա կլինեն հա րևանները, դա կլինեն միջնորդները: Այսինքն, այս բանաձևը աշխատում է շատ կարճաժամկետ, նույնիսկ որոշ ժամանակ նրանց մոտ այս գիտակցումը գալիս է և փորձում են ինչ-որ բան անել, սակայն չեն անում՝ ելնելով միմյանց միջև շահերի բախումից»,- Արմենպրես-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ նշեց Բեքարյանը:

Պատգամավորի խոսքով՝ այս ամենը չգիտակցելը և դրան համարժեք գործողությունները չպլանավորելը ստեղծում է պատասխանատվության բեռ թափված արյան համար: «Այս ընկալումը շատ դանդաղ հասունանում է, սակայն այդ դանդաղության ներքո մեր տղաների կյանքերն են վտանգի տակ»,- ընդգծեց նա:

Կարեն Բեքարյանը բերեց նաև անցյալ տարի ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից խոցված հայկական ուղղաթիռի օրինակը, երբ այդ նույն միջազգային հանրությունը համարժեք արձագանք չտվեց, ինչի արդյունքում հայկական կողմը ստիպված եղավ ռազմական օպերացիայի դիմել և խոցման վայրից դուրս բերել ուղղաթիռի անձնակազմի դիերը: «Երբ խոցվել էր ուղղաթիռը, այն ընկել էր չեզոք վայրում: Ուղղաթիռի անձնակազմի վերաբերյալ տեղեկատվություն չկար: Անհրաժեշտ էր այդ մարդկանց դուրս բերել այդ տարածքից, սակայն դուք հիշում եք, թե դրանից ինչ պատմություն սարքեց Ադրբեջանը: Հայաստանը, Արցախը այդ մի քանի օրերի ընթացքում միջազգային ատյան չմնաց, որոնց չդիմեին՝ պահանջելով զսպել Ադրբեջանին, որ թույլ տա այդ տարածքից հանել ուղղաթիռի անձնակազմը: Սակայն մենք տեսանք, որ միջազգային հանրությունը ոչինչ չարեց, որից հետո էլ տեղի ունեցավ այն, ինչ տեղի ունեցավ: Իրականացվեց ռազմական օպերացիա, դուրս բերվեցին այնտեղից տղաների դիերը, իսկ այդ գործողության արդյունքում սպանվեցին  ադրբեջանցիներ: Եվ դրանից հետո միջազգային հանրությունից որևէ մեկն իրեն թույլ չտվեց ասել, թե ինչու այսպես եղավ, որովհետև բոլորի համար հստակ ու տեսանելի էր, որ հայկական կողմի համար այլ ելք չէր մնացել»,- եզրափակեց պատգամավորը:
