Հայ ակնաբույժները աշխատում են միջազգային բարձր մակարդակին համապատասխան: Տեսողության համաշխարհային օրվա կապակցությամբ նման տեսակետ հայտնեց ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարության գլխավոր ակնաբույժ Ալեքսանդր Մալայանը: 

«Աչքի հիվանդությունների վաղ հայտնաբերման համար խիստ կարևոր է հատկապես մարզային ծառայությունների օգնությունը: Աշխատանքն սկսում է առաջնային օղակներում` պոլիկլինիկաներում:

Մեր բժիշկները պետք է աչալուրջ լինեն գլաուկոմա հիվանդության և շաքարախտի հետևանքով առաջացող ակնային բարդությունների նկատմամբ: Իսկ կատարակտի բուժումը Հայաստանում կատարվում է շատ բարձր մակարդակով»,- նշեց ԱՆ գլխավոր ակնաբույժը:

Ալեքսանդր Մալայանը հպարտությամբ շեշտեց, որ մեծ նվճումներ է ունեցել Հայկական ակնաբուժության նախագծի կողմից իրականացվող «Անհասության ռետինոպաթիայի ակնային զննումների և բուժման ազգային ծրագիրը»:

 «Մենք կարողացանք զրոյից սկսել և այս տարիների ընթացքում մեծ նվաճումներ գրանցել այս ոլորտում: Եթե անգամ մեկ երեխայի տեսողությունը կարողանանք վերականգնել, մեծ աշխատանք կատարած կլինենք: Մեզ այդ հարցում շատ է օգնում ԱՄՆ հայ համայնքը` ի դեմս պրոֆեսոր Ռոջեր Օվհանեսյանի, ով նախաձեռնեց այդ ծրագիրը: Հիմա մենք անմիջական կապի մեջ ենք գտնվո ւմ ԱՄՆ լավագույն մանկական կլինիկաներից մեկի հետ»,- հավելեց Մալայանը:

Հայկական ակնաբուժության նախագծի տնօրեն Նունե Եղիազարյանն իր հերթին նշեց, որ Տեսողության համաշխարհային օրվա կապակցությամբ իրենք նախաձեռնել են միջոցառումների շաբաթ: Հոկտեմբերի 8-ին Երևանի Հյուսիսային պողոտայում տեղադրվել է լուսանկարվելու համար նախատեսված «ակնոց-շրջանակ», ինչպես նաև տարածվել են տեսողության խնդիրների մասին տեղեկատվական նյութեր:

Իսկ երեկոյան ժամը 17:00-20:00-ն «Քարֆուր» սուպերմարկետում կիրականացվեն աչքի անվճար ստուգումներ քաղաքացիների համար: Միանալով մի շարք երկրներում կազմակերպվող նախաձեռնությանը` 15 րոպեով կանջատվի Մատենադարանի լուսավորությունը:

Հոկտեմբերի 9-ին երիտասարդներին կբաժանվեն երեխաների գունազարդած ակնոցները, իսկ հավաքված գումարի մի մասով Երևանի թիվ 14 հատուկ դպրոցի աշակերտների համար ակնաբուժական դեղորայք ձեռք կբերվի:
