Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպության «Կանանց նկատմամբ խտրականության բոլոր ձևերի վերացման մասին կոնվենցիայի» (CEDAW) Հայաստանում կիրառման, այդ թվում, ՄԱԿ-ի կանանց նկատմամբ խտրականության վերացման կոմիտեին 2014 թվականին ներկայացված ՀՀ վերջին (համակցված 5-րդ և 6-րդ) զեկույցի իրավական մոնիթորինգի այլընտրանքային զեկույցի նախագիծը Երևանում հոկտեմբերի 9-ին ներկայացվել է հանրային քննա8կման:

Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՄԱԿ-ի հայաստանյան գրասենյակի մամուլի ծառայությունից:

Միջոցառմանը ողջույնի խոսքով հանդես է եկել ՀՀ-ում Գերմանիայի Դաշնային Հանրապետության արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Մաթիաս Քիսլերը և «Հայաստանի երիտասարդ իրավաբանների ասոցիացիա» հասարակական կազմակերպության նախագահ Կարեն Զադոյանը:

Դեսպան Մաթիաս Քիսլերի կարծիքով՝ ոչ միայն կինը պետք է պայքարի իր իրավունքների համար, այլ նաև պետք է հասարակությունը քայլեր ձեռնարկի կանանց իրավունքների պաշտպանության համար:

Իր ողջույնի խոսքով Կարեն Զադոյանը հիշել է Մահաթմա Գանդին, ով ասում էր, թե Հնդկաստանի փրկությունը կանանց ձեռքերում է, որը պետք է իրականացվի կանանց այնպիսի հատկանիշների շնորհիվ, ինչպիսիք են անձնազոհությունը և լուսավորությունը. 

«Այսօր ես ցանկանում եմ այն բերել Հայաստան, մեր երկրի լավ տեսլականը պետք է լինի կանանց ձեռքերում, որովհետև նրանք նվիրված են, անձնազոհ են ու լուսավորում են ամեն ինչ իրենց կողքին»:

Հանրային քննարկմանը մասնակցում էին իրավաբաններ, փաստաբաններ, ՔՀԿ և ՏԻՄ ներկայացուցիչներ: Համանման հանրային քննարկումներ անցկացվել են նաև ՀՀ Շիրակի, Լոռու, Գեղարքունիքի և Սյունիքի մարզերում:

Զեկույցը պատրաստվել է «Հայաստանի երիտասարդ իրավաբանների ասոցիացիա» հասարակական կազմակերպության կողմից՝ Գերմանիայի Դաշնային Հանրապետության դեսպանության կողմից ֆինանսավորվող «Կանանց իրավունքների օրակարգային հարցերի խթանում» ծրագրի շրջանակներում: Այն նախատեսվում է վերջնակացնել հանրային քննարկումների արդյունքում և ներկայացնել ՀՀ պատկան մարմիններին, ինչպես նաև ՄԱԿ-ի կանանց նկատմամբ խտրականության վերացման կոմիտեին:
