Մոտ ժամանակներս տեղի կունենա Բաթումի հայկական մշակույթի տան պաշտոնական բացումը:

Այս մասին Արմենպրես-ի հետ զրույցում տեղեկացրեցԱջարիայում ՀՀ հյուպատոս Արամ Գրիգորյանը:

«Մշակույթի կենտրոնի շենքը ձեռք է բերվել Սփյուռքի նախարարության միջոցներով: Այն կլինի Թբիլիսիի Հավլաբարի Սրբ. Էջմիածին եկեղեցուն առընթեր Հայարտուն կենտրոնի մասնաճյուղը, որտեղ կկենտրոնանան կիրակնօրյա դպրոցը, «Աղբյուր» կանանց երգչախումբը, գեղագիտական կենտրոնը և պարային խումբը», - տեղեկացրեց Արամ Գրիգորյանը:

Հյուպատոսը նշեց, որ մշակույթի տունն արդեն գործում է, քանի որ դա կապված է նախադպրոցական խմբի ու կիրակնօրյա դպրոցի հետ, բայց պաշտոնական բացումը կայանալու է հոկտեմբերին:

Մոտավոր հաշվարկներով այսօր Աջարիայում բնակվում է շուրջ 8000 հայ: Սրան կարելի է ավելացնել 2-3 հազար, ովքեր արտագնա աշխատանքի են: Թվերը մոտավոր են, քանի որ մարդահամար չի իրականացվել 2007թվականից:

«Այսօր հայկական համայնքը բավականին ակտիվ է՝ հիմնականում շնորհիվ եկեղեցու և հյուպատոսության: Դրան նպաստում է Սփյուռքի նախարարությունը, որը Վրաստանում ակտիվ աշխատանք է տանում: Այսօր Բաթումում գործում է Սուրբ Փրկիչ եկեղեցին, որը դեռ Աբաշիձեյի օրոք վերադարձվել է Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցուն: Այստեղ ակտիվ գործունեություն է ծավալել Արարատ Գումբալյանը», - նշեց Արամ Գրիգորյանը:

Մինչև վերջին ժամանակներս կիրակնօրյա դպրոցը գործում էր եկեղեցում, այն արդեն տեղափոխվել է նորաբաց կենտրոնի շենք: Իսկ Վազգեն Սրբազան Միրզախանյանի նախաձեռնությամբ ներկա դրությամբ ևս երկու կիրակնօրյա դպրոցներ Աջարիայում գործում են Քոբուլեթում և հարևան Գուրիա տարածաշրջանի Օզուրգեթում, որտեղ ևս կան շատ հայեր: Նորաբաց  կենտրոնում տարբեր առիթներով կկազմակերպվեն բազմապիսի հանդիպումներ:

Հյուպատոսը նշեց, որ նախկինում` մինչև Հոկտեմբերյան հեղափոխությունը Բաթումում գործել է հայկական թատրոն, թերթ է լույս տեսել:  Բաթումը միշտ հայաշատ է եղել: Այստեղ հայեր բնակվել են դեռ մինչև այն քաղաք գրանցելը, որը տեղի է ունեցել 1888թ., մանավանդ անցած դարի սկզբին, երբ եղեռնից մազապուրծ եղած հայեր հանգրվան են գտել այստեղ: Իսկ Երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմից հետո, հայրենադարձության ուղին բռնած հայերն նախ նավերով գալիս էին Բաթում, ապա այստեղից գնացքներով ուղևորվում Հայաստան:
