 Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ ծայրագույն պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում հոկտեմբերի 11-ին ընդունել է Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության (ՖՄԿ) գլխավոր քարտուղար տիկին Միկայել Ժանին: Ինչպես Արմենպրես-ին տեղեկացրին Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգից, Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսը, ողջունելով ՖՄԿ պատվիրակության այցը Սուրբ Էջմիածին, իր գնահատանքն է փոխանցել ՖՄԿ գլխավոր քարտուղարին` Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի կազմակերպության և Հայաստանի միջև իրականացվող համագործակցային ծրագրերի համար:

Նորին Սրբությունը խորհրդանշական է նկատել, որ հայ ժողովրդի համար նվիրական` Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի ոգեկոչման տարում, ՖՄԿ-ն իր համաժողովը կազմակերպում է Հայաստանում` այդպիսով յուրօրինակ պատգամ հղելով մարդկությանը` Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման և նմանօրինակ ոճրագործությունների կանխարգելման համար:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում Վեհափառն անդրադարձել է Հայ եկեղեցու ունեցած կարևոր դերակատարությանը հայ ժողովրդի կյանքում, ինչպես նաև այսօրվա Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի մի շարք երկրների հետ միջնադարում հայության ունեցած սերտ աղերսներին: Այս առումով Նորին Սրբությունը ողջունել թ արդի փոխգործակցությունը` վստահություն հայտնելով, որ այն երկուստեք կհարստացնի ՖՄԿ անդամակցող երկրներին:

Իր հերթին տիկին Միկայել Ժանը Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետին է ներկայացրել Հայաստանում գումարված Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի 31-րդ նախարարական համաժողովի արձանագրած արդյունքները, ՖՄԿ առաջիկա անելիքները և հրամայականները: ՖՄԿ գլխավոր քարտուղարը կարևորել է համընդհանուր ջանքերի միավորումը հանուն մարդկային կյանքում առկա խնդիրների կարգավորման և մարտահրավերների հաղթահարման` դրանում էական նկատելով նաև մշակույթների և կրոնների երկխոսությունը:

Զրույցի ժամանակ անդրադարձ է եղել Մերձավոր Արևելքում տեղ գտնող ողբերգական զարգացումներին, մասնավորապես, քրիստոնյաների ծանր վիճակին, խոսվել է նաև հոգևոր առաջնորդների կողմից գործադրվող խաղաղասիրական ջանքերի մասին: «Մենք դատապարտում ենք կրոնի շահարկումը քաղաքական նպատակներով: Պատերազմ, ատելություն և անհանդուրժողականություն քարոզող կրոն գոյություն չունի: Բոլոր կրոնները քարոզում են սեր և խաղաղություն: Այդուհանդերձ, այսօր տեսնում ենք, որ կրոնական ծայրահեղական շարժումների պատճառով մարդկային կյանքում աղետներ են տեղի ունենում»,- նշել է Գարեգին Բ կաթողիկոսը:
