 Ֆիլիպինների հյուսիսում մոլեգնող Koppu («Գավաթ», տեղական անվանումը՝ Lando)  թայֆունի զոհերի թիվը հասել Է 14-ի, տեղեկացնում Է Արմենպրես-ը՝ հղում անելով DPA-ին:

Ինչպես հայտնել են տեղական իշխանությունները, մասնավորապես, յոթ մարդ Է խեղդվել, երբ նրանց մոտորանավակը շրջվել Է ծովում: Գործակալության տվյալներով՝ թայֆունի պատճառով Իլոիլո քաղաքից ոչ հեռու խորտակվել Է եւս մեկ մոտորանավակ: Առափնյա պահպանության ուժերին հաջողվել Է փրկել 32 մարդու, եւս երկուսի որոնումները շարունակվում են:

Թայֆունը ժամում 5 կիլոմետր արագությամբ շարունակում Է շարժվել դեպի հյուսիս-արեւմուտք: Ավելի վաղ Ֆիլիպինների Ավրորա եւ Իզաբելա նահանգների իշխանությունները բնակչության տարհանում են կազմակերպել մոտեցող թայֆունի պատճառով: Երկրում փոթորկի նախազգուշացման ամենաբարձր՝ «կարմիր» մակարդակ Է հայտարարված:
