Գերմանիայի խորհրդարանն անկախ կառույց է եւ դժվար է ասել, թե Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման հարցի առնչությամբ ինչ որոշում կարող է կայացնել: Տեսակետը`  Գերմանիայի արտաքին գործերի դաշնային նախարարության Արեւելյան Եվրոպայի, Հարավային Կովկասի եւ կենտրոնական Ասիայի տարածաշրջանի երկրների հարցերով Հատուկ հանձակատար Անդրեաս Պեշկեինն է:  Ծիծեռնակաբերդ այցելությունից հետո լրագրողների հետ կարճատեւ զրույցում Պեշկեն ասաց, որ դժվար է կանխատեսել, թե Գերմանիայի խորհրդարանն ինչ որոշում կարող է կայացնել:

«Չգիտեմ, թե ինչ որոշում կարող է կայացվել, քանի որ խորհրդարանն անկախ մարմին է եւ յուրաքանչյուր ոք ունի ազատ կամարտահայտման իրավունք: Սակայն կարծում եմ` պատմական պատասխանատվություն պետք է ստանձնի Գերմանիան եւ այդ առնչությամ որոշակի քայլեր կատարի»,- ասաց Պեշկեն:

Ըստ նրա՝ այս տարվա ընթացքում նմանատիպ քայլեր արդեն կատարվել են` օրինակ Բեռլինի մայր տաճարում տեղի ունեցած պատարագն ու Նախագահի ելույթը:

Հարցին, թե ինչպիսի ազդեցություն կունենա Բունդեսթագի որոշման վրա Անգլեա Մերկելի` Թուրքիայում կատարած հայտարարությունը, Պեշկեն պատասխանեց, որ իրականում դրանք երկու տարբեր հարցեր են եւ մեկը մյուսի հետ կապ չունի: Հիշեցմանը, որ Մերկելը Թուրքիայում ասել է, որ ներկա դրությամբ Հայոց ցեղասպանության քննարկման հարցն օրակարգային չէ, քանի որ ներկա դրությամբ Գերմանիայի գլխավոր խնդիրը ներգաղթյալներն են, հատուկ հանձնակատարն ասաց. «Ես կասեի, որ պատմական պատասխանատվությունը շատ կարեւոր է գերմանացիների համար, քանի որ մենք շատ զգացմունքային ենք մոտենում այդ հարցին: Մենք ունեցած տարբեր քննարկումներ Հոլոքոստի հետ կապված: Սա մեկ հարց է, իսկ ներգաղթյալների, փախստականների խնդիրը` մեկ այլ հարց  է: Ներկա դրությամբ այն նույնպես շատ կարեւոր, քանի որ օրական 10.000 փախստական է մուտք գործում»,- ասաց Պեշկեն:   

Գերմանիայի արտաքին գործերի դաշնային նախարարության Արեւելյան Եվրոպայի, Հարավային Կովկասի եւ կենտրոնական Ասիայի տարածաշրջանի երկրների հարցերով Հատուկ հանձակատար Անդրեաս Պեշկեն Հայաստան է ժամանել տարածաշրջանային այցով: Մինչ Երեւան ժամանելը Պեշկեն եղել է Բաքվում եւ Թբիլիսիում: Երեւանում նա հանդիպումներ է ունենալու ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի ղեկավար Վիգեն Սարգսյանի եւ ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարարի տեղակալ Կարեն Նազարյանի հետ:
