Եռացող լիճ - Դոմինիկայի Եռացող լիճն աշխարհում երկրորդ ամենախոշոր տաք աղբյուրն է: Դրա ջերմաստիճանը ջրի ափի հատվածում հասնում է մինչև 90 աստիճան ըստ ցելսիուսի, իսկ կենտրոնում ջուրը չափազանց տաք է այնտեղ հասնելու և ջրի ջերմաստիճանը չափելու համար: Լիճը գորշ ջուր ունի, որն անընդհատ եռում է: Լագունա Կոլորադա - Բոլիվիայում գտնվող այս լիճը արյան կարմիր երանգ ունի, իսկ դրա վրա բորակի (նյութ, որն օգտագործվում է մաքրող-ախտահանող միջոցների բաղադրության մեջ) տարօրինակ փոքրիկ սպիտակ կղզիներ կան: Իսկ ջրի երանգը գունավոր նյութերի նստվածքների ու կարմիր ջրիմուռների հետևանքն է: Այստեղ կարելի է նաև հաճախ վրադագույն ֆլամինգոների տեսնել, ինչի արդյունքում գույների ապշեցուց կոնտրաստ է ստեղծում: Պլիտվիցյան լճեր - Այս հրաշագեղ լճերը գտնվում են Խորվաթիայում` Պլիտվիցյն լճերի ազգային զբոսայգում, որն աշխարհի ամենագեղեցիկ վայրերից մեկն է: Լճերն իրականում 16-ն են, բոլորը փոխկապակցված մի շարք ջրվեժներով: Լճերը կազմավորված ենտրավերտինի բնական պանեշների մեջ: Նիոս լիճ - Կամերունում տվող այս լիճը աշխարհում միակ երեք պայթող լճերից մեկն է: Հենց դրա տակ մագմայի շերտ կա, որը լիճը լցնում է ածխածնային դիօքսիդով ու դրա ջուրը փոխակերպում կարբոնային թթվի: 1986թ.-ին լճից ջրածնի երկօքսիդի պայթյուն էր տեղի ունեցել ինչ հետևանքով տարածքի գյուղերից ավելի քան 1700 մարդ ու 3500 անասուն էր տուժել դրա հետևանքով առաջացած թթվածնային քաղցից:
Փիթչ լիճ - Տրինիդադում գտնվող այս լիճը  աշխարհի ամենախոշոր բնական ասֆալտի լիճն է: Լիճը ավելի քան 40 հեկտար տարածք է զբաղեցնում իսկ դրա խորությունը կարող է հասնել մինչև 75 մետրի: Լճի մեջ նույնիսկ էքստրեմոֆիլ օրգանիզմներ են ապրում : Տեղացիները նույնիսկ հավատացած են, որ դրա ջրերը առեղծվածային բուժիչ հատկություն ունեն դրա մեջ լողացողների համար: Պետք է նշել, որ Փիթչ լճի ջուրը օգտագործվել է Նյու Յորք քաղաքի փողոցները ասֆալտապատելու համար:
