4 երեխաների մայր Բեվերլի Փիքորերը սկսել է խմել 20 տարեկանում: Այժմ նրա երեխաները գտնվում են դայակի խնամքի տակ, քանի որ նա չի կարող հոգ տանել իր երեխաների մասին: Կինը գտնվում է բժիշկների հսկողության տակ, քանի որ նա տառապում է էպիլեպսիայով, լյարդի հիվանդությամբ, նրա ստամոքսը քայքայված է, իսկ մաշկը թղթի պես բարակ:

Բեվերլին ընդամենը 35 տարեկան է, սակայն հայտնվել է մահվան ճիրաններում հարբեցողության պատճառով: Նրա ամուսինը խնդրում է բժիշկներին, որ թույլ տան կնոջը տանել տուն, որտեղ էլ նա կմահանա:

Ըստ վիճակագրական տվյալների լյարդի հիվանդությամբ տառապող ավելի քան 1000 ալկոհոլից կախվախություն ունեցող հիվանդ է ընդունում Անգլիայի հիվանդանոցն ամեն տարի:
