«Ժամանակ» թերթը զրույցել է «Հանրապետություն» կուսակցության քաղխորհրդի նախագահ Արամ Սարգյանի հետ.

Ի՞նչ անի ընդդիմությունը, որպեսզի ընտրական մեխանիզմի միջոցով կարողանա հասնել իշխանափոխության:

Պետք է արվի այն, ինչ արվեց Վրաստանում եւ Ուկրաինայում: Երկու դեպքում էլ ընտրություններին պատրաստվեցին, դիտորդները կային: Հայաստանի պարագայում պետք է կրկնել այն, ինչ 2008 թվականին արեց Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանը՝ մի տարբերությամբ. Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանի ղեկավարած շարժումը որպես արտաքին քաղաքական աջակցության հենման կետ տեսնում էր Ռուսաստանը, իսկ Ռուսաստանը մշտապես կանգնել է գործող եւ հանցավոր իշխանությունների թիկունքում, որովհետեւ իրենց համար ցանկացած փոփոխություն իրենցից պոկվելու վտանգ է ներկայացնում: Նրանք իրենց ֆորպոստ Հայաստանի համար Սիրիայից ուժեղ են կռիվ տալու: Այս պարագայում միանշանակ նրանց թեկնածուն Սերժն է, եւ որեւէ մեկը Պուտինին այս հարցում չի կարող տարհամոզել:

Ուստի այս նոր ընդդիմությունը պիտի որդեգրի գաղափարական, աշխարհաքաղաքական այլ մոտեցում, լինի այլ բեւեռի ուժ եւ գտնի անվտանգության այլ երաշխիքներ: Իսկ այդ այլ երաշխիքները ամբողջ քաղաքակիրթ աշխարհն է: Այ, այս դեպքում գործող իշխանությունը չի գնա ուժի կիրառության, որովհետեւ այդ արտաքին քաղաքական ռեսուրսը համապատասխան զսպօղակ կդառնա գործող իշխանությունների համար՝ նրանց երաշխիքներ տալով անարյուն հեռանալու, հակառակ դեպքում կվախեցնեն համապատասխան միջազգային դատարաններով: Իսկ մենք ակտիվ հասարակություն ենք եւ արժանի ենք ավելի լավ իշխանությունների»:
