2012 թվականի բյուջեն Հայաստանի անկախության տարիների ընթացքում ընդունված առաջին բյուջեն էր, որով պետական կառույցների աշխատավարձերի բարձրացում չէր նախատեսվել: 2012 թվականի պետական բյուջեի նախագիծը «գոյատևման բյուջե» էր որակել այն օրերին ԲՀԿ խմբակցության քարտուղար Նաիրա Զոհրաբյանը:

Այնուամենայնիվ, ԱԺ-ն հաստատեց եկող տարվա պետական բյուջեի նախագիծը, որի քվեարկությանը, սակայն, չմասնակցեցին խորհրդարանական երկու կուսակցությունների` ՀՅԴ-ի և «Ժառանգություն» կուսակցությունների պատգամավորները: Երկրի գլխավոր ֆինանսական փաստաթուղթն ընդունվեց անհրաժեշտ ձայների նվազագույն շեմով` 66 ձայնով: 2012թ. բյուջեին «դեմ» էր քվեարկել երկու պատգամավոր, իսկ «ձեռնպահ» չկար:

2013 թվականի բյուջեի նախագծի քննարկման ժամանակ ԱԺ ԲՀԿ խմբակցության քարտուղար Նաիրա Զոհրաբյանը հաջորդ տարվա բյուջեն այս անգամ արդեն անվանել էր «սողալու բյուջե»: ՀԱԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն էլ 2013-ի բյուջեն որակել էր «կոնսերվացման բյուջե»՝ նշելով, որ 2013 թվականի բյուջեի նախագիծն ընթերցելիս իր մոտ այնպիսի տպավորություն է ստեղծվել, թե ներկայացված փաստաթուղթը փակվող օբյեկտի բյուջե է:

Այդուհանդերձ, 2013 թվականի բյուջեի նախագիծն ԱԺ-ն ընդունեց ձայների 71 «կողմ» և 37 «դեմ» հարաբերակցությամբ, որին, սակայն, դեմ էին քվեարկել ՀՅԴ-ն, ԲՀԿ-ն, ՀԱԿ-ն ու «ժառանգությունը»:

Տիգրան Սարգսյանի վարչապետության ժամանակ ընդունված վերջին՝ «Բյուջե 2014»-ը, որի համաձայն՝ կառավարությունը 5,8 % տնտեսական աճ էր կանխատեսել, դարձյալ ընդունվեց բավական լարված մթնոլորտում՝ հավաքելով 70 «կողմ», 40 «դեմ», 1 «ձեռնպահ» ձայներ:

2015 թվականի երկրի գլխավոր ֆինանսական փաստաթուղը ներկայացվեց արդեն Հովիկ Աբրահամյանի ղեկավարած կառավարության կողմից։ «Բյուջե 2015»-ով էլ կառավարությունը կանխատեսել էր 4 տոկոս տնտեսական աճ, որը բավարար չէր համարվել ԱԺ ՕԵԿ խմբակցության ղեկավար Հեղինե Բիշարյանի կողմից: 2015թ. երկրի գլխավոր տնտեսական փաստաթղթի նախագիծը խորհրդարանն ընդունեց 71 «կողմ», 46 «դեմ» ձայների հարաբերակցությամբ: «Դեմ» քվեարկած խմբակցությունները կրկին ՕԵԿ-ը, ՀԱԿ-ը, ԲՀԿ-ն և «Ժառանգություն» կուսակցություններն էին:

2016թ. բյուջեի նախագիծը նույնպես բավականին լայն արձագանք ստացավ:ԱԺ ՀՅԴ խմբակցության քարտուղար Աղվան Վարդանյանի կողմից այն որակվեց «պահպանման բյուջե», իսկ ԲՀԿ խմբակցության քարտուղար Վահան Բաբայանն էլ հայտարարեց, որ ԲՀԿ-ն հաջորդ տարվա բյուջեից չի դժգոհում՝ նշելով, որ ԲՀԿ-ն «Բյուջե 2016»-ը հնարավորությունների, կայունության և որոշակի զարգացման բյուջե է համարում: Ինչևէ, ձայների 97 «կողմ», 13 «դեմ», 3 «ձեռնպահ» հարաբերակցությամբ ԱԺ-ն ընդունեց 2016-ի պետական բյուջեի մասին օրենքի նախագիծը: 2016 թվականի երկրի գլխավոր ֆինանսական փաստաթղթին կողմ քվեարկեցին ՀՀԿ, ԲՀԿ կուսակցությունները, ՀՅԴ-ն չմասնակցելց քվեարկությանը, ՀԱԿ-ը բոյկոտել էր ողջ նստաշրջանը, իսկ ՕԵԿ և «Ժառանգություն» կուսակցությունները կրկին «դեմ» քվեարկեցին բյուջեր նախագծին:

Այսպիսով, այս տարվա պետական բյուջեն դարձավ անկախության շրջանում խորհրդարանում ամենաշատ կողմ ձայներն ստացած բյուջեն:
