Երբեմն շրջապատի կարծիքը շատ խորն է ազդում մեր վրա: Հատկապես, եթե այնպիսի մարդ ես, որ անընդհատ ուշադրություն ես դարձնում, թե ինչ են մտածում և խոսում քո մասին հարազատներդ, ընկերներդ, հարևաններդ…

Արդյունքում ստացվում է այնպես, որ մարդիկ սկսում են չմտածված քայլեր անել: Այդպիսին է մեր այսօրվա պատմության հերոսուհին:

17-ամյա ավստրալուհի Էլլեն Լիտցովի կյանքը մազից էր կախված՝ նրա համադասարանցիների ծաղրանքների պատճառով: Աղջիկը մի փոքր թմբլիկ էր, և որոշել էր կտրականապես փոխվել, ինչը հանգեցրեց քաշի սարսափելի կորուստին: Բժիշկները փրկեցին Էլլենին վերջին րոպեին: Հիվանդանոց ընկնելուց մի շաբաթ առաջ, աղջիկը ոչինչ չէր կերել…

Էլլենը նորմալ և առողջ աղջիկ էր: Բայց նա տանջվում էր այն բանից, որ իր հետ չէին շփվում: Եվ այդ ամենն այն բանի պատճառով, որ նա մի փոքր թմբլիկ էր:

Աղջիկը որոշեց փոխել ամեն ինչ, բայց ոչ թե անցավ առողջ սննդակարգի, այլ խորացավ դիետաների մեջ: Էլլենն ուտում էր միայն ձուկ և հում բանջարեղեն: Հետո անցավ խնձորի կեղևին և շոգեխաշած կաղամբին: Բացի այդ նա դադարեց լողով զբաղվել, ինչը թույլ էր տալիս մկանները տոնուսի մեջ պահել:

«Ես սկսեցի նիհարել, որ դպրոցի երեխաներն ինձ ընդունեին: Ես ատում էի ինձ: Երբ ես սկսեցի նիհարել, իմ հարազատները շատ էին բարկանում ինձ վրա և փորձում էին ինձ կերակրել: Բայց ես հստակ որոշել էի ազատվել ինձ համար ատելի ավելորդ կիլոգրամներից», – մեկնաբանում է Էլլենը:

Մի քանի ամսում Էլլենը կորցրեց 40 կիլոգրամ, և արդեն կշռում էր ընդամենը 35 կիլոգրամ: Բնականաբար ընտանիքում վեճեր սկսվեցին, բայց աղջիկը չէր լսում ծնողներին: Համարյա յուրաքանչյուր շարժումը ցավոտ էր դարձել աղջկա համար, նա այլևս դպրոց չէր հաճախում: Բանը հասել էր նրան, որ նա արդեն մեկ շաբաթ ոչինչ չէր կերել և խմել: Երբ վերջապես նա մի կում ջուր խմեց, անմիջապես գետնին ընկավ և սկսեց ցնցվել: Ծնողները շտապ օգնություն կանչեցին:

Էլլենը վերակենդանացման բաժին ընկավ մի շարք ներքին օրգանների աշխատանքի դադարով, ինչպես նաև նյութափոխանակության և մենստրուալ ցիկլի խանգարումով: Երբեմնի գեղեցիկ մազերը նոսրացել և խճճվել էին սննդարար նյութերի բացակայությունից: Բժիշկներին հաջողվեց փրկել աղջկա կյանքը, և հիմա նրա վիճակը դեպի լավն է գնում: Բայց Էլլենը չի հրաժարվել վեգանիզմից (բուսակերությունից): Նախաճաշին աղջիկն ուտում է միայն մրգեր, ճաշին կարտոֆիլ ավոկադոյով, իսկ ընթրիքին՝ թայլանդական ապուր և կարտոֆիլի ջեռեփուկ:
