7 զավակների հայր 52-ամյա կանադացի Ստեֆոննի Ուոլշթը, հարցազրույց տալով լրատվամիջոցներին, բացատրել է, թե ինչպես է նա այժմ ներկայանում որպես 6-ամյա աղջիկ։
Ես չեմ կարող ժխտել, որ ամուսնացած եմ եղել, որ երեխաներ եմ ունեցել, սակայն այժմ ես առաջ եմ շարժվել և վերադարձել երեխա լինելուն։ Ես հիմա չեմ ցանկանում չափահաս լինել։
 
Ես մայրիկ ու հայրիկ ունեմ, ովքեր որդեգրել են ինձ ու իմ մասին հոգ են տանում՝ որպես փոքրիկ աղջիկ։ Եվ նրանց երեխաներն ու թոռներն ամբողջովին աջակցում են մեզ։
Ուոլշթը սկզբում ութ տարեկան աղջիկ էր ներկայանում, սակայն ավելի ուշ նա որոշեց ավելի երիտասարդ լինել, երբ իրեն որդեգրող զույգի թոռնուհին ցանկություն հայտնեց նրա մեծ քույրը լինել։
 
Մեկ տարի առաջ ես ութ տարեկան էի, և նա՝ յոթ։ Նա ասաց ինձ, որ ուզում է, որ ես իր փոքր քույրը լինեմ, և ես ասացի, որ այդ դեպքում ես վեց տարեկան կլինեմ։
 
Ուոլշթը բաժանվեց կնոջից ու երեխաներից 44 տարեկանում ու տեղափոխվեց Տորոնտո 2009թ․-ին, որտեղ սկսեց հորմոնային փոփոխության թերապիա անցնել։ Ամիսներ հետո նա ինքնասպանության փորձ արեց, որից հետո նրան հիվանդանոց տեղափոխեցին։ Նա կորցրեց աշխատանքը տրանսգենդեր լինելու պատճառով ու ստիպված էր ամիսներ շարունակ անցկացնել անտունների համար կացարանում, մինչև որ նրա կյանքը փոխվեց։
