Ջուղայի ոչնչացված հուշակոթողների մանրամասն ուսումնասիրությունը ներկայացվեց հայ ընթերցողին

Հայ ընթերցողները հնարավորություն ստացան ծանոթանալու Ջուղայի ոչնչացված հուշակոթողների ուսումնասիրությանը, որը դեռ անցած դարի սկիզբին կատարել էր լիտվացի արվեստի պատմաբան, համեմատական արվեստի հետազոտության հիմնադիր Յարգիս Բալտրուշայտիսը: 

Դեկտեմբերի 15-ին Կալիֆորնիայի պետական համալսարանի հայոց պատմության և արվեստի, Բերբերյանների անվան ամբիոնի պատվավոր պր ոֆեսոր Տիգրան Կույումջյանի և Յարգիս Բալտրուշայտիսի համահեղինակությամբ «Ջուղան Արաքս գետի ափին և նրա հուշակոթողները» գրքի հայերեն տարբերակի շնորհանդեսը տեղի ունեցավ Մատենադարանում:

«Երկու տարի առաջ, երբ ես ժամանեցի Հայաստան, ԵՊՀ դասախոս Լևոն Չուգասզյանը պատմեց ինձ Յարգիս Բալտրուշայտիսի աշխատանքի մասին, և այդ ժամանակ ես չէի կարող պատկերացնել արվեստի պատմաբանի, համեմատական հետազոտության հիմնադիրի հետաքրքրության աստիճանը հայ և վրացական մշակույթի և պատմության նկատմամբ»,- իր ելույթում ասաց ՀՀ-ում Լիտվայի դեսպան Էրիկաս Պետրիկասը։

«Ջուղան Արաքս գետի ափին և նրա հուշակոթողները» գիրքը ՀՀ-ում Լիտվայի դեսպանատան, ճարտարապետության և շինարարության Հայաստանի ազգային համալսարանի միջև համագործակցության արդյունք է:  Հայ և լիտվացի մեծանուն մտավորականների ստեղծագործության միջոցով աշխարհը կարող է ճանաչել հայ արվեստի «քարի լեզուն»՝  խաչքարերի միջոցով։ 

«Ջուղան Արաքս գետի ափին և նրա հուշակոթողները» աշխատությունը  անգլերեն լեզվով առաջին անգամ հրատարակվել է 1986թ մեծանուն բարերար Գալուստ Գյուլբենկյանի հիմնադրամի աջակցությամբ։

«Մեկ տարի առաջ հանդիպման ժամանակ դեսպանը հարց բարձրացրեց, թե արդյոք մեր դասախոսներն ու գիտնականներն ուսումնասիրել են Յարգիս Բալտրուշայտիսի թարգմանությունը: Պարզվեց, որ երեսունական թվականներին Ֆրանսիայում թարգմանվել և տպագրվել էր աշխատությունը, իսկ Հայաստանում պահպանվել է հաստափոր աշխատության մեկ օրինակը», - ասաց Ճարտարապետության և շինարարության համալսարանի ռեկտոր Գագիկ Գալստյանը:

Ճարտարապետության և շինարարության համալսարանի ռեկտորը հավելեց, որ հաստափոր գրքից թարգմանված և առանձին գրքի տեսք ստացած «Ջուղան Արաքս գետի ափին և նրա հուշակոթողները» գրքում տեղ է գտել տասը տարի առաջ ադրբեջանական բանակի զինվորների կողմից ոչնչացված խաչքարերի մանրամասն նկարագրությունը՝ գրքի երկու հեղինակների կողմից կատարված լուսանկարների հետ հանդերձ:
