Հայաստանի քաղաքական և հասարակական որոշ շրջանակներում, մասնավորապես հասարակական ակտիվ գործիչների արևմտամետ հատվածի մոտ մի առանձնակի ոգևորություն է առաջացել՝ կապված սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների հանրաքվեի մասին ԱՄՆ դեսպանատան հայտարարությունների, մասնավորապես վերջին կոշտ հայտարարության հետ, որտեղ ակնարկվում է նաև Հայաստանում դեկտեմբերի 6-ին հանրաքվեում կեղծիքների մեղավորների նկատմամբ «պատժամիջոցներ» կիրառելու մասին, և փաստացի ասվում է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն չի ընդունում այս հանրաքվեն` որպես ազատ և արդար:

Իհարկե, այն հարցի շուրջ, որ կեղծիքներ եղել են և հանրաքվեն արդար չի եղել, երկրորդ կարծիք լինել չի կարող, ինչպես և նախորդ բոլոր հանրաքվեների և ընտրությունների դեպքում:

Սակայն մեր հանրության խիստ ամերիկասեր հատվածի մոտ «մե խինդ, մե ուրախություն» է հատկապես այն բանի համար, որ վերջապես իրենց սիրելի ԱՄՆ-ն ավելի ռեալ հնարավորություն ձեռք բերեց միջամտելու Հայաստանի ներքին գործերին: Չէ՞ որ շատերի համար դա նպատակ էր: Եվ այս առիթով ուրախացողները մոռանում են մի կարևոր բան՝ ոչ միայն այս հանրաքվեն, այլև նախորդ բոլոր նմանատիպ միջոցառումներն էլ են Հայաստանում անցել կեղծիքներով:

Բայց, չգիտես ինչու, յուրաքանչյուր նախորդ ընտրություններից հետո նույն ԱՄՆ դեսպանատունը միշտ հայտարարել է, որ այս ընտրույթունները իրենք գնահատում են որպես մեկ քայլ առաջ դեպի ժողովրդավարություն և միանշանակ ընդունել է բոլոր ընտրությունների արդյունքները՝ համարելով դրանք արդար: Իսկ ինչո՞ւ այն ժամանակ ամերիկացիները չէին խոսում անարդարություններից, չէին ակնարկում պատժամիջոցներ կիրառելու մասին, իսկ հիմա հանկարծ նրանց մեջ արթնացա՞վ տասնամյակներով քնած արդարության զգացումը ...

Այս հարցին, իհարկե, արևմտասերները պատասխան չեն տա՝ հասկանալի պատճառներով, սակայն ես կպատասխանեմ բոլորի փոխարեն. պատճառն իրականում շատ պարզ է՝ դեռ վերջին նախագահական ընտրությունների ժամանակ Հայաստանը ԵՏՄ անդամ չէր, ավելին,  Հայաստանը հաստատուն քայլերով գնում էր դեպի ԵՄ, իսկ դեպի ԵՄ գնացող երկրում ինչ կեղծիքների մասին կարող է խոսք լինել: Բացառվում է նման բան, ամերիկացիները նման բան մեզ մոտ չեն տեսել, հետևաբար, բոլոր ընտրություններն էլ արդար են եղել:
