Հայաստանն ու Հունաստանը դատապարտում են «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորմանն աջակցելու և ռուսական ինքնաթիռը խոցելու Թուրքիայի քայլերը: Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը և Հունաստանի Հանրապետության ազգային պաշտպանության նախարար Պանայոտիս (Պանոս) Կամմենոսը տարածաշրջանում անվտանգության խնդիրներին անդրադարձան Երևանում` երկկողմ հանդիպմանը հաջորդած համատեղ ճե պազրույցում: «Մենք ունենք հարևաններ, որոնք աջակցում են «Իսլամական պետությանը», մենք դատապարտում ենք Թուրքիայի գործողությունները` ուղղված մեր ռազմավարական գործընկերոջ դեմ: Կարծում ենք, որ Թուրքիայի ընդհատակյա գործունեությունը թույլ չի տալիս իրականացնել այն խնդիրները, որոնք ուղղված են միջազգային ահաբեկչության դեմ»- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` ասաց Սեյրան Օհանյանը` հավելելով, որ Թուրքիան շատ հաճախ խախտում է Հունաստանի հետ օդային սահմանը, եղել են նաև Հայաստանի սահմանը խախտելու փորձե ր, և վերոհիշյալ երկու պետությունները հանդուժողականություն են ցուցաբերել այդ քայլի նկատմամբ, հետևաբար, Թուրքիան էլ պետք է ցուցաբերեր հանդուժողականություն` հատկապես, երբ ռուսական ինքնաթիռը չէր հատել Թուրքիայի օդային սահմանը:

Հունաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարը ևս դատապարտեց Թուրքիայի քայլերը «Իսլամական պետությանն» աջակցելու գործում` միաժամանակ շեշտելով, որ Թուրքիան այդպես էլ չկարողացավ ապացուցել, որ ռուսական ինքնաթիռը հատել է Թուրքիայի պետական սահմանը:

Նոյեմբերի 24-ին ռուսաստանյան Սու-24 ինքնաթիռը Սիրիայի տարածքում թուրքական սահմանից 1 կմ հեռավորության վրա կործանվել է Թուրքիայի օդուժի կողմից արձակված «երկինք-երկինք» հրթիռով եւ վայր ընկել Թուրքիայի սահմանից 4 կմ հեռավորության վրա: Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը Սիրիայի օդային տարածքում ռուսաստանյան Սու-24 ռմբակոծիչի խոցումը թուրքական օդուժի կողմից անվանել է «հարված թիկունքից», որը հասցվել է Ռուսաստանին «ահաբեկիչների հանցակիցների կողմից»: «Այդ իրադարձությունը դուրս է ահաբեկչության հետ սովոր ական պայքարի շրջանակից: Այսօրվա կորուստը կապված է հարվածի հետ, որը մեր մեջքին հասցրեցին ահաբեկիչների հանցակիցները: Այն, ինչ այսօր տեղի է ունեցել, ես չեմ կարող այլ կերպ անվանել», -ասել է Պուտինը Հորդանանի թագավոր Աբդալլահ երկրորդի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ:
