Մայր Աթոռում, հայաստանյան բոլոր թեմերում, եկեղեցիներում տարեմուտի գիշերը առաջին հերթին աղոթք է հնչում ամբողջ երկրի խաղաղության համար, և այն կոչվում է հանրապետական մաղթանք, երբ ամբողջ հանրապետությանը մաղթում են խաղաղություն: Այս մասին մամուլի ասուլիսին ասաց Տեր Նշան քահանա Ալավերդյանը:

«Այսօրվանից սկսվում է Սուրբծննդյան պահքը»,-ասաց նա և նշեց, որ նախկինում ավելի շատ պատրաստվում էին  Սուրբ ծնունդի արարողությանը և առաջնայինը դա էր համարվում: Նա նշեց, որ այս շրջանում  պահոց կերակուրների ուտելու նպատակն է՝ միտքը բևռել Սուրբ ծնունդի և այս շրջանը նորոգման ընկալմամբ ապրել:

«Հրաշքներով լի գիշերը Սուրբ ծնունդն է»,- ասաց նա: Քահանան նաև նշեց, որ Նոր տարվա գիշերը եկեղեցի այցելողների թիվը  տարին տարվա վրա շատանում է և դա ոչ միայն հոգևոր ընկալման, այլ սոցիալական խնդիր է, քանի որ մարդկանց մոտ բեռ է դարձել  Նոր տարին: «Քրիստոսն ասում է՝ ինձ մոտ եկեք բոլոր հոգնածները և բեռնավորվածները և ես հանգիստ կտամ զեզ»,-ասաց նա:

Քահանան նաև նշեց, որ Սանտա կլաուսի կերպարը Սուրբ Նիկողայոսի կերպարից է սերված, ով չորրորդ դարում Զմյուռնա քաղաքի եպիսկոպոս էր, ով թաքուն ողորմություններ էր անում:

Վերջում Տեր Նշան քահանան ցանկացավ, որ 2016 թվականը լինի հոգևոր նորոգման տարի:
