Սերն արդեն վաղուց գիտնականների հետաքրքրությունների առանցքում է: Դրա արդյունքում հաճախ ապացուցվում է սիրո այնպիսի տարրերի գոյություն, որ մենք ակամա հուսադրվում ենք, իսկ երբեմն էլ գիտնականները թևաթափ են անում մեզ իրենց հայտարարություններով: Այսօր կխոսենք սիրո այն երեք բաղադրիչների մասին, որոնց գոյությունն արդեն հաստատվել է գիտականորեն:

Ուղեղը «անջատվում է» սիրելիս: Գիտանականները պարզել են, որ մարդու ուղեղը «անջատվում է» սիրահարության առաջին տարիների ընթացքում: Դա մարդու համար ունի կենսական նշանակություն, քանի որ, եթե չլիներ այս փաստը, մարդիկ առաջին իսկ օրից կտեսնեին միմյանց թերություններն ու այդպես էլ չէին ցանկանա որևէ մեկից երեխա ունենալ:
