Հոլին և Ռոհանը երիտասարդ զույգ են Ավստրալիայից, ովքեր արդեն երեք երեխա ունեն. 3, 2 և 1-ամյա տղաներ:

Բայց ծնողները երազում էին աղջիկ ունենալու մասին: Հաշվի չառնելով դժվարություններն ու տնային հոգսերը՝ Հոլին և Ռոհանը որոշեցին ունենալ չորրորդ երեխան:

Հոլին հղի էր: Բայց հղիությունն ընթանում էր ոչ սովորականի պես: Նրա փորիկը շատ արագ էր մեծանում, կարծես պատրաստվում էր պայթել: Երեք երեխաներ լույս աշխարհ բերած մայրիկը հասկանում էր, որ, սովորաբար, այդպիսի բան չի լինում հղիության ժամանակ:

Ուլտրաձայնային հետազոտության ժամանակ ամեն ինչ պարզ դարձավ. Երիտասարդ ծնողները եռյակի էին սպասում: Սա իսկական շոկ էր այս, արդեն մեծ ընտանիքի համար: Նրանք նաև իմացան, որ փոքրիկներից մեկը բավարար քանակությամբ թթվածին չէր ստանում , և դեռ չծնված՝ պայքարում էր իր կյանքի համար, մայրիկի արգանդում: Այդ փոքրիկը եռյակի միակ աղջիկն էր, որի մասին այդքան երազում էին ծնողները:

Ծնողները բարդ ընտրության առջև էին կանգնել. Փոքրիկը մահանում էր: Բժիշկներն առաջարկում էին վաղաժամ ծննդաբերություն՝ աղջկա կյանքը փրկելու համար, բայց այդ դեպքում երեք երեխաների կյանքերն էլ վտանգի տակ կլինեին: Երկրորդ տարբերակն էլ այն էր, որ թողեն փոքրիկը մահանա՝ հնարավորություն տալով մյուս երկուսին մինչև վերջ զարգանալ:

Զույգը որոշեց ծննդաբերել վաղաժամ: Բայց մայրիկին տանջում էին այն մտքերը, արդյոք նա ճիշտ որոշում է կայացրել:

Եռյակը լույս աշխարհ եկավ 28 շաբաթականում, նրանք շատ փոքրիկ էին և թույլ:

Մի քանի օր փոքրիկները մնացին հիվանդանոցում, և բարեբախտաբար, նրանց վիճակն օրեցօր լավանում էր:

Մի քանի շաբաթ անց փոքրիկներին տուն տարան, որտեղ նրանց անհամբեր սպասում էին իրենց եղբայրները:
