Հայաստանյան քաղաքական և փորձագիտական շրջանակները մեծ ոգևորությամբ ընդունեցին Իրանի միջուկային ծրագրի շուրջ վեցյակի ու պաշտոնական Թեհրանի միջև ձեռք բերված համաձայնության արդյունքում մեր հարավային հարևանի հանդեպ արևմտյան պատժամիջոցների չեղարկման մասին լուրը: Հատկանշական է, որ մեր արևմտամետների կարծիքով՝ Իրանի հանդեպ կիրառվող պատժամիջոցների վերացումն ու ԱՄՆ-ի և ԵՄ-ի անդամ երկրների հետ լիարժեք տնտեսական ու քաղաքական հարաբերությունների վերականգնումն էապես կմեծացնի պաշտոնական Թեհրանի ազդեցությունը մեր տարածաշրջանում և նախադրյալներ կստեղծի այն բանի համար, որպեսզի Հայաստանի քաղաքական, ռազմական ու տնտեսական կախվածությունը Ռուսաստանից զգալիորեն նվազի: Այսինքն՝ Իրանի նկատմամբ Արևմուտքի վերաբերմունքի գործնական փոփոխությունը նրանց կողմից դիտարկվում է որպես ՀՀ ինքնիշխանության վերականգնման բացառիկ գործոն: Այս համատեքստում ուշագրավ է, որ ցնծում են ոչ միայն մեր արևմտամետներն, այլև հայրենի ռուսասերները, որոնք ասում են, որ այս նոր իրավիճակում ամրապնդվում է Մոսկվա, Թեհրան, Երևան ռազմավարական առանցքը, և այժմ, միավորելով ուժերը, հնարավոր կլինի արդյունավետորեն դիմակայել արևմտյան տարատեսակ սադրանքներին: Իրանի համար պահն իսկապես աստեղային է ու երկրի հետագա զարգացումն ու բնակչության բարեկեցիկ կյանքն ապահովելու տեսանկյունից իսկապես հետաքրքիր հեռանկարներ է պարունակում: Այդ երկրին պատկանող մոտ հարյուր միլիարդ դոլարի ֆինանսական միջոցները, որ պատժամիջոցների պատճառով սառեցված էին արևմտյան բանկերում, այժմ արդեն կարող են տնօրինվել ըստ պահանջի, հանված են նաև նավթի վաճառքով զբաղվելու հարցում մինչ այդ եղած կոշտ սահմանափակումները, բազմամիլիարդանոց պայմանագրեր կնքվեցին Չինաստանի հետ, խոսակցություններ են գնում «Էյրբասից» հարյուրից ավելի նոր օդանավեր գնելու ծրագրերի մասին, և այս ցանկն անընդհատ լրացվում է: Իսկապես, Իրանի հարցում արևմտյան տերությունների դիրքորոշման այսօրինակ փոփոխությունը Հայաստանի համար պոտենցիալ նոր հնարավորությունների դուռ է բացում, սակայն կարևոր է նաև աչքի առաջ ունենալ այն, որ կատարվածի արդյունքում Հարավային Կովկասում (ու ոչ միայն այստեղ) նկատելիորեն ուժեղանալու է տարածաշրջանային գերտերությունների՝ Թուրքիայի, Իրանի, Սաուդյան Արաբիայի քաղաքական, ռազմական ու տնտեսական մրցակցությունը, որը, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, մոտ ապագայում էլ ավելի կոշտ դրսևորումներ կունենա: Այս գործընթացները Ռուսաստանի համար լրացուցիչ մեծ ռիսկեր են պարունակելու, իսկ Հայաստանի համար պարզապես գոյության իրավունքի համար հանձնվելիք քննությանը հավասարազոր փորձություն կլինեն:
