Այն զգացողությունն ունեմ, որ խաղաղ կարգավորման գործընթացը, որն այժմ, պատկերավոր ասած, միացված է արհեստական շնչառության ապարատին և դեպքից դեպք կենդանության նշաններ է սկսում ցույց տալ միայն միջնորդների համառ ջանքերի շնորհիվ, կարող է աշխուժանալ նոր մոտեցումների ի հայտ գալու պարագայում:

Այս առումով գլոբալ աշխարհաքաղաքական գործընթացների ուղղվածությունը և ռուս-ամերիկյան հարաբերություններում նկատվող հակասությունների խորացումը ավելի հավանական է, որ կնպաստեն առկա ստատուս քվոյի խախտմանը քան ընդհակառակը և պաշտոնական Երևանն ու Ստեփանակերտը պարտավոր են լրջորեն հաշվարկել իրենց քայլերն այս անդադար ու արագ փոփոխվող արտաքին քաղաքական, ռազմական ու տնտեսական միջավայրում' գոնե եղած դիրքերը պահպանելու համար: Պարոնայք Սերժ Սարգսյանի և Իլհամ Ալիևի մասնակցությունն ԱՄՆ-ում կազմակերպվելիք Միջուկային անվտանգության հարցերին նվիրված գագաթաժողովի աշխատանքներին իսկապես կարող է ամերիկյան կողմին հնարավորություն ընձեռել նաև իրենց դեմ առ դեմ հանդիպումը կազմակերպելու համար:
