 ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարար Արմեն Աշոտյանը չի ցանկանում մեկնաբանել իրեն Բելգիայում ՀՀ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան նշանակելու մասին լուրերը: Ազգային ժողովում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում Արմեն Աշոտյանը չցանկացավ պատասխանել դեսպան նշանակվելու մասին լուրերի վերաբերյալ հարցին: «Դուք հիմա ցանկանում եք, որ ես խոստովանություններ անե՞մ: Եթե իմ կարծիքը ցանկանամ արտահայտել, կարտահայտեմ»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ նշեց Աշոտյանը:

Լրագրողներից մեկի դիտարկմանը, թե ՀՅԴ-ն տարիներ շարունակ իր ձեռքն է վերցրել կրթության ոլորտը և հիմա էլ խոսակցություններ կան, որ կրկին այդ ոլորտն է ցանկանում, Աշոտյանը պատասխանեց. «Կրթության ոլոտում քաղաքականությունը ոլորտային է, մասնագիտական է: Իհարկե, կապված է նաև նրանից, թե որ քաղաքական ուժի ներկայացուցիչն է տվյալ պահին ղեկավարում, բայց ընդհանուր գերակայությունները նույնն են: Սա նշանակում է, որ կրթական ոլորտի բարեփոխումների ռազմավարությունը վերջին 25 տարիների ընթացքում եղել է նույնը: Հետևաբար, նախարարների փոփոխությունները բերու մ են բացառապես տակտիկական փոփոխությունների, բարեփոխումների: Ոլորտային տեսակետից քաղաքականությունը անշեղորեն նույնն է՝ ստեղծել ազգային դպրոց միջազգգային ստանդարտներով:

Հարցին՝ ճի՞շտ է որ ՀՀԿ-ի «տունը կռիվ է ընկել», նախարարը պատասխանեց.  «Ես առաջարկում եմ խնայել իմ ժամանակը և նման հարցերին պատասխանեք ինքներդ, եթե դուք եք գրում: Դուք գրում եք, դուք հերքում եք, դուք մեկնաբանում եք, դուք հաստատում եք: Ես հպարտությամբ եմ կրում ՀՀԿ-ի անդամ լինելու առաքելությունը»:
