ՀՀ վարչապետ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանն ընդունել է Հայաստանում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի և Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիայի Միացյալ Թագավորության արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ջուդիթ Մարգարեթ Ֆարնուորթին:

Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ կառավարության տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնութ յան հետ կապերի վարչությունից:

Վարչապետը շնորհավորել է տիկին Ֆարնուորթին դեսպանի պաշտոնն ստանձնելու առթիվ և համոզմունք հայտնել, որ իր գործունեությամբ դիվանագետը կնպաստի հայ-բրիտանական հարաբերությունների էլ ավելի ամրապնդմանը: Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը կարևորել է Հայաստանի և Միացյալ Թագավորության միջև քաղաքական ու տնտեսական համագործակցության, այդ թվում՝ առևտրաշրջանառության և գործարար կապերի հետագա զարգացումը: 

Դեսպան Ֆարնուորթը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել վարչապետին ջերմ ընդունելության համար և ընդգծել, որ Միացյալ Թագավորությունը շահագրգռված է Հայաստանի հետ բազմակողմ փոխգործակցության զարգացմամբ: Դեսպանը վստահեցրել է, որ պատրաստ է իր ակտիվ աշխատանքով նոր զարկ տալ երկուստեք հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող ոլորտներում հարաբերությունների հետագա զարգացմանը:

Զրուցակիցները հեռանկարային են համարել համագործակցության զարգացումը տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների, գյուղատնտեսության, արդյունաբերության, կրթության, մշակույթի և այլ ոլորտներում: Խոսելով Հայաստանում իրականացվող բարեփոխումների և կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի մասին՝ դեսպանը նշել է, որ Միացյալ Թագավորությունը պատրաստ է աջակցել Հայաստանին նշված խնդիրների լուծման գործում: Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել դեսպանին և համոզմունք հայտնել, որ այդ ուղղությամբ կգրանցվեն հաջողություններ:

Վարչապետ Աբրահամյանը և տիկին Ֆարնուորթն անդրադարձել են նաև Հայաստան-Եվրոպական միություն հարաբերությունների զարգացմանը, տարածաշրջանային զարգացումներին և երկուստեք հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող այլ հարցերի:
