Տարեսկզբից Միջերկրական ծովով Եվրոպա են ժամանել շուրջ 134 հազար 905 միգրանտներ ու փախստականներ, ընդ որում՝ 418 մարդ զոհվել կամ անհետ կորել Է եվրոպական երկրներ հասնելու փորձ կատարելիս: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է Արմենպրեսը, Ժնեւում կայացած ճեպազրույցի ընթացքում հայտնել Է Միգրացիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության (ՄՄԿ) պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Ջոել Միլմանը:

«ՄՄԿ-ի գնահատումների համաձայն՝ այս տարի 134 հազար 905 միգրանտներ ու փախստականներ արդեն հատել են Միջերկրական ծովը: Նրանցից 125 հազար 819-ը ժամանել են հունական կղզիներ, իսկ մնացածը՝ Իտալիա,-նշել Է նա:-Մամուլի հաղորդումների համաձայն՝ առնվազն 100 մարդ ժամանել Է Իսպանիա, սակայն ՄՄԿ-ն դեռեւս չի հաստատել այդ տեղեկությունները»:

Փետրվարին եվրոպա ժամանած միգրանտների ու փախստականների թիվը (55 հազար 633) փոքր-ինչ նվազել Է հունվարի համեմատությամբ (67 հազար 415): Հունաստանի իշխանությունների տվյալներով՝ վերջին 14 ամսվա ընթացքում, այսինքն՝ 2015 թվականի սկզբից, երկիրն ընդունել Է 970 հազար 911 մարդու: «Դա նշանակում Է, որ առաջիկա երկու շաբաթվա ընթացքում կգերազանցվի 1 միլիոնի շեմը»,-ասել Է Ջոել Միլմանը:

Զոհվել կամ անհետ կորել Է 418 մարդ, այդ թվում՝ 321-ը Միջերկրական ծովի այսպես կոչված արեւելյան երթուղում, 97-ը՝ «կենտրոնական երթուղում»:

Այս տարի Հունաստան ժամանած միգրանտների ու փախստականների հիմնական խմբերը կազմում են սիրիացիները (30 հազար 979), աֆղանցիները (18 հազար 983) եւ իրաքցիները (12 հազար 335), Իտալիայում՝ նիգերիացիները (903), գամբիացիները (676) եւ սենեգալցիները (493), հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
