Պաշտոնական այցով Չեխիայի Հանրապետությունում գտնվող ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը սեպտեմբերի 22-ին հանդիպում է ունեցել Չեխիայի ԱԳ փոխնախարար Մարտին Տլապայի և Չեխիայի խորհրդարանի սենատի ԵՄ հարցերով հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Միրոսլավ Կրեյչայի հետ: Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը հույս է հայտնել, որ հայկական պատվիրակության այցը Չեխիա լրացուցիչ խթան կհանդիսանա հայ-չեխական հարաբերությունների զարգացման և երկկողմ փոխշահավետ համագործակցության ամրապնդման համար:

ԱԺ փոխնախագահը նշել է, որ Վիլնյուսում ընդունված Հայաստան-Եվրամիություն համատեղ հայտարարությամբ վերահաստատվել է Հայաստանի պատրաստակամությունը՝ շարունակելու բարեփոխումների գործընթացը՝ ուղղված ժողովրդավարության, մարդու իրավունքների և օրենքի գերակայության շարունակական ամրապնդմանը: Նրա համոզմամբ՝ ժողովրդավարական արժեքներն այլընտրանք չունեն: Չեխական կողմն իր հերթին պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել աջակցելու Հայաստանում ժողովրդավարության ամրապնդմանը:

Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը դրական է գնահատել ԼՂ հակամարտության հարցում Չեխիայի իշխանությունների հավասարակշռված դիրքորոշումը՝ նկատելով, որ Չեխիան պաշտոնապես սատարում է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբին՝ որպես միջազգայնորեն ճանաչված բանակցային միակ ձևաչափ: ԱԺ փոխնախագահն ընդգծել է, որ ինքնորոշման իրավունքը հիմնարար սկզբունք է ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման հարցում: Նա անդրադարձել է վերջերս Շոտլանդիայում անկախության հանրաքվեի անցկացմանը՝ նշելով, որ այն ժողովուրդների ինքնորոշման իրավունքի իրացման դասական օրինակ է:

Հանդիպմանը հայկական պատվիրակության անդամներ Տաճատ Վարդապետյանը, Մարգարիտ Եսայանը և Արծվիկ Մինասյանն անդրադարձել են Հայաստանի և Չեխիայի խորհրդարանների միջև համագործակցությանը՝ կարևորելով միջխորհրդարանական կապերի հետագա ընդլայնումը:
