Հաշվի առնելով Հայաստանի Հանրապետության հարևան պետություններում` Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետությունում, Թուրքիայում և Վրաստանում արձանագրված մանր եղջերավոր կենդանիների ժանտախտ հիվանդության դեպքերը և առկա վտանգը՝ ՀՀ ԳՆ սննդամթերքի անվտանգության պետական ծառայությունն առաջիկայում կիրականացնի կանխարգելիչ միջոցառումներ: 

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԳՆ սննդամթերքի անվտանգության պետական ծառայությունից, մասնավորապես, նշված հիվանդության հարուցիչի ներթափանցումը հանրապետության տարածք կանխելու և հնարավորինս արագ հակաժանտախտային պատվաստանյութ ձեռքբերելու նպատակով` ծառայությունը բանակցություններ է վարում Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության «Կենդանիների առողջության համառուսական գիտահետազոտական ինստիտուտի» հետ: Կառավարությունը մարտի 3-ի նիստում արդեն իսկ ընդունել է համապատասխան որոշում, որը հնարավորություն կընձեռի արագ ձեռք բերել անհրաժեշտ պատվաստանյութը:

Ծառայությունը նախատեսում է նշված երկրների սահմանային գոտում գտնվող և հիվանդության նկատմամբ ընկալունակ բոլոր կենդանիների շրջանում ամենամյա կանխարգելիչ հակաժանտախտային պատվաստումներ կատարել: Ներկայումս մանր եղջերավոր կենդանիների ժանտախտ հիվանդության նկատմամբ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունն ապահով է:
