Իրաքյան Քուրդիստանի անկախության հանրաքվեն կարող է տեղի ունենալ մինչեւ 2016 թվականի հոկտեմբերը:

Այս մասին, ինչպես հաղորդում է Արմենպրեսը, Al-Monitor հրատարակությանը տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է տարածաշրջանի ղեկավար Մասուդ Բարզանին:

Իրաքի սահմանադրության համաձայն` իրաքյան Քուրդիստանի տարածաշրջանն օժտված է լայն ինքնավարությամբ: Բարզանին բացատրել է, որ հիասթափված է Բաղդադի ներկայիս քաղաքականությամբ, որը քրդերին զրկել է բյուջեի սեփական մասից եւ չի կարողացել կատարել մի շարք այլ պարտավորություններ: Նրա խոսքով, տարածաշրջանին երկու տարբերակ է մնացել հետագա զարգացման համար` դառնալ Իրաքի սովորական նահանգ կամ գնալ անկախության մասին հանրաքվեի:

«Ես կարող եմ միանգամայն համոզված ասել, որ անկախ մեր կամքից դուրս հանգամանքներից, մենք փորձելու են հանրաքվե անցկացնել այս տարի, կարծում եմ` մինչեւ հոկտեմբեր», -հայտարարել է իրաքյան Քուրդիստանի նախագահը:

Բարզանին նշել է, որ ցանկանում է գործընթացը կազմակերպել խաղաղ կերպով եւ պայմանավորվել բոլոր շահագրգիռ ուժերի` Բաղդադի, Անկարայի եւ Թեհրանի հետ: Դրա հետ միասին Բարզանին ընդգծել է, որ անկախ Քուրդիստանի նախագահ չի դառնալու:

«Իմ նպատակը դրան հասնելն է` անկախ Քուրդիստան ստեղծելը: Եվ ես խոստանում եմ, որ այն օրը, երբ Քուրդիստանը կդառնա անկախ, ես կդադարեմ նախագահ լինել: Ես կշնորհավորեմ ժողովրդին եւ իմ տեղը կփոխանցեմ ուրիշի», -հայտարարել է նա:
