«Մոտ 10 տարի առաջ՝ 2006 թվականի ապրիլի 19-ին, գերմանական պարբերականում հրապարակվել էր այն ժամանակվա Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Արթուր Բաղդասարյանի հարցազրույցը, որում վերջինս նշել Էր, որ «Հայաստանի ապագան ԵՄ-ն ու ՆԱՏՕ-ն Է», - «Ռուսաստանը չտետք Է կանգնի դեպի Եվրոպա ճանապարհին»։ Այդ հայտարարությունը խիստ քննադատության Էր արժանացել ՀՀ այն ժամանակվա նախագահ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի կողմից: Երկու պաշտոնյաների մեջ առկա Էր ակնառու հակասություն Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքականության կարևորագույն հարցում, և դա շատ արագ պետք Է բերեր Ազգային ժողովի նախագահի հրաժարականի, որը և տեղի ունեցավ նույն թվականի մայիսի 29-ին։

Այսօր Արթուր Բաղդասարյանը դժվար թե կարծիք հայտնի, որ Հայաստանի ապագան տեսնում Է ԵՄ-ի և ՆԱՏՕ-ի կազմում: Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդի նախագահի տաշտոնում աշխատելը հավանաբար, համոզեցին ՕԵԿ նախագահին, որ Հայաստանի գործառույթը Ռուսաստանի ֆորպոստ լինելն է։ Նախկին ՕԵԿ, ներկայումս «Հայկական վերածնունդը» հասարակական մասնաճյուղ է բացում Մոսկվայում, Կոբզոնն այն ողջունում է, ՕԵԿ-ականները քննադատում են ներկայիս իշխանություններին բավականաչափ ռուսամետ չլինելու համար...

Այս փոքր օրինակը բերում եմ ոչ թե հատուկ Բաղդասարյանի կամ ՕԵԿ-ի մասին որևէ բացասական բան ասելու նւղատակով։ Ամբողջ խնդիրն այն է, որ նման վարք են դրսևորում մեր քաղաքական դաշտի բոլոր հիմնական խաղացողները: Իհարկե, նրանք բոլորն ասում են, որ իրենք ոչ մի «ուժային կենտրոնի» էլ չեն ձգտում, կուրծք են ծեծում, թե իրենց միակ ուշքն ու միտքը բացառապես Հայաստանի շահերն են: Բայց իրականում նրանք շատ ավելի «պրագմատիկ» են և ղեկավարվում են բացարձակապես սեփական քաղաքական շահերով։ Դրա մեջ ոչ մի սարսափելի բան չկա, միայն թե պետք չէ ձևեր թափել»,–գրում է թերթի խմբագիրը։
