Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության և Ադրբեջանի շփման գծում տեղի ունեցող բախումների մասին տեղեկանալուց հետո`  Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Արամ Ա Վեհափառ Հայրապետը անմիջապես կապ է հաստատել ԼՂՀ նախագահ Բակո Սահակյանի հետ ու հայտնել Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսության և իր զորակցությունը Ղարաբաղի քաջարի բանակի նկատմամբ։  «Բառի ամբողջական իմաստով մենք զորակից ենք Ղարաբաղին, նրա քաջարի բանակին, ժողովուրդին ու պետության ը։ Ղարաբաղի անկախության պաշտպանությունը և հզորացումը մեզ համար սրբազան պարտավորություն է։ Այս օրերին մանավանդ, երբ Ղարաբաղը հարձակման է ենթարկվել Ադրբեջանի կողմից, մեր ժողովուրդի զավակները՝ Հայաստանի և Սփյուռքի տարածքում, պետք է իրենց զորակցությունը գործնապես արտահայտեն Ղարաբաղի պաշտպանության համար, որովհետև Ղարաբաղի պաշտպանությունը Հայաստանի պաշտպանությունն է և հակառակը»,-ինչպես  տեղեկացնում են կաթողիկոսությունից, ասել է Արամ Ա կաթողիկոսը։
