Աշխարհաքաղաքական վերլուծություններ իրագործող STRATFOR հետազոտական գործակալությունը հրապարակել է 2016 թվականի երկրորդ եռամսյակում սպասվող աշխարհաքաղաքական գործընթացներում իր կանխատեսումները:

Ինչպես հաղորդում է Արմենպրեսը, STRATFOR-ի զեկույցի համաձայն` Ադրբեջանը, փորձելով թաքցնել երկրի ներսում ծանր տնտեսական դրության փաստը, Հայաստանի եւ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության հետ սահմանային շրջաններում կգնա ռազմական լարվածության:

Այնուամենայնիվ, STRATFOR-ի համաձայն` հազիվ թե լայնամասշտաբ ռազմական գործողություններ սկսվեն, իսկ Ռուսաստանն ու Թուրքիան կփորձեն իրենց հեղինակավոր դաշնակիցների միջոցով ազդեցություն գործել երկու երկրների միջեւ ընթացող բանակցությունների վրա:

Հիշեցնենք, որ ԼՂՀ ՊՆ մամուլի ծառայությունն ավելի վաղ հայտնել էր այն մասին, որ ապրիլի 1-ից 2-ի գիշերը եւ ապրիլի 2-ի առավոտյան Ադրբեջանի զինվոծ ուժերը լայնամասշտաբ հարձակողական գործողություններ են ձեռնարկել արցախյան եւ ադրբեջանական զորքերի ամբողջ շփման գծի երկայնքով, որոնց արդյունքում հրթիռա-հրետանային գնդակոծության են ենթարկվում ոչ միայն հայկական ԶՈւ-ի մարտական դիրքերը, այլեւ խաղաղ բնակության կետերը:

ԼՂՀ ՊԲ օպերատիվ տվյալների համաձայն` ապրիլի 2-ի առավոտյան մոտ ժամը 08:30-ին Մարտունիի ուղղությամբ ԲՄ-21 (Գրադ») սարքավորումից հթիռակոծության արդյունքում սպանվել է 12-ամյա Վաղինակ Թաթուլի Գրիգորյանը եւ եւս երկու երեխա վիրավորվել են:

Ճշտգրկված տվյալներով` ղարաբաղյան ուժերը հարավարեւելյան ուղղությամբ շարքից հանել են հակառակորդի երկու տանկ, հյուսիսարեւելյան ուղղությամբ` 1 տանկ եւ անօդաչու թռչող սարք: Ժամը մոտ 12:30-ին ԼՂՀ ՊԲ հակաօդային պաշտպանության ուժերը հարավարեւելյան ուղղությամբ խոցել են Ադրբեջանի ԶՈւ եւս մեկ ռազմական ուղղաթիռ (այսօր թվով երկրորդը), իսկ հյուսիսարեւելյան ուղղությամբ` եւս մեկ անօդաչու սարք:
