Թուրքական Սամսուն քաղաքում ընթացող ձյուդոյի Գրան-պրի մրցաշարում Հայաստանի ձյուդոյի հավաքականի անդամ Ֆերդինանտ Կարապետյանը բրոնզե մեդալ է նվաճել: 

Հայաստանի ձյուդոյի ֆեդերացիան տեղեկացնում է, որ 66 կգ քաշային կարգում հայ ձյուդոյիստը բավականին հաջող ելույթներ է ունեցել Ռիոյի օլիմպիական խաղերի վարկանիշային մրց աշարում:

Կարապետյանը, առավելության հասնելով Սերբիայի ներկայացուցիչ Մարկո Վուկիչեւիչի նկատմամբ, հաջող է հանդես եկել նաեւ Կոսովոն ներկայացնող Աքիլ Գժակովայի դեմ պայքարում: Մրցաշարի 1/4 եզրափակիչ փուլում հայ ձյուդոյիստը ցավալիորեն զիջել է կորեացի Լիմհվան Կիմին: Հնարավորություն ստանալով հանդես գալ սփոփիչ գոտեմարտերում՝ Կարապետյանը կարողացել է նախ հաղթել Ռուսաստանի ներկայացուցիչ Ազնաուր Արդանովին, ապա նաեւ ռուսաստանցի Յակուբ Շամիլովին՝ նվաճելով բրոնզե մեդալ:

52 կգ քաշային կարգում օլիմպիական վարկանիշին շատ մոտ գտնվող Ժաննա Ստանկեւիչը ցավալի պարտություն է կրել հենց մեկնարկային գոտեմարտում: Առաջին իսկ մրցամարտում ցավալի պարտություն է կրել նաեւ 73 կգ քաշային ձյուդոյիստ Արսեն Ղազարյանը՝ դուրս մնալով հետագա պայքարից:

81 կգ քաշային Անդրանիկ Չափարյանն էլ չնայած առաջին մրցամարտում հաղթել է Իսլանդիայի ներկայացուցիչ Սվեյնբյորն Այուրային, սակայն հաջորդ իսկ գոտեմարտում պարտվել է հունգարացի Լասլո Ցսոկնիային:

Այսպիսով՝ Հայաստանի՝ Թուրքիա մեկնած ներկայացուցչական պատվիրակությունն ավարտել է իր մրցելույթներն ընդամենը մեկ՝ բրոնզե մեդալով՝ ոչ ամբողջությամբ չօգտագործելով ընձեռված լավ հնարավորությունը՝ օլիմպիական վարկանիշ ապահովող մրցաշարը:
