YEREVAN. – Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Defense of Armenia, publicized the photographs of four more Armenian military servicemen who have fallen in the recent escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Junior Sergeant Vrezh Sargsyan, 26, was serving in the armed forces since 2013. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, in Pokr Masrik village of Gegharkunik Province in Armenia.
Private Harutyun Abrahamyan, 31, was serving in the army since 2013. will be interred on Wednesday, in Areguni village of Gegharkunik Province.
Private Kyaram Sloyan, 20, was drafted into the army in 2014. He will be buried on Wednesday, in Artashavan village of Aragatsotn Province in Armenia.
Private Aghasi Asatryan, 20, was drafted into the army in 2014. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, in Masis town of Ararat Province in Armenia.
The situation at the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone dramatically escalated in the early morning hours on April 2. From regular shootings and frequent sabotage-reconnaissance attempts, Azerbaijan switched to large-scale attacks all along the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact, using a variety of weaponry as well as artillery, armored vehicles, and air force. Both sides have suffered casualties.
