German FM names several conditions for Karabakh conflict de-escalation

German Minister of Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier stated the aforementioned Wednesday in Berlin, TASSreports.
“Currently the situation is very fragile,” he noted. According to Steinmeier, if the status-quo is retained, this can result in the repeated escalation of the situation.
The German FM named several conditions, which are necessary to de-escalate the Karabakh conflict at this stage: “First of all, [it’s necessary to] agree on long-term refusal to use weapons. Secondly, to launch a process of stabilization and confidence building measures and thus prepare to resume the talks in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group regarding the future status of the region. It’s desirable that this happen soon,” Steinmeier said.
