Եռաբլուրում այսօր՝ ապրիլի 11-ին, հողին հաձնեցին ադրբեջանական ագրեսիան հետ մղելիս զոհված ազատամարտիկ Սուրեն Ճարատանյանին:

Արցախյան ազատամարտի տարիներին Սուրեն Ճարատանյանն առաջիններից էր, որ մեկնել էր ճակատ ու կատաղի կռիվներ տվել թշնամու դեմ: Այս անգամ էլ ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծում լարվածության մասին լսելով՝ երկար չէր մտածել, ապրիլի 3-ին մեկնել էր Արցախ՝ սահման:

«Սուրենն  առողջական ծանր վիճակում էր՝ սրտի երեք վիրահատություն էր տարել: Կինը գնալու օրերին հիվանդ պառկած էր հիվանդանոցում, որ իմացավ Սուրենը որոշել է գնալ, ասաց՝ դուք հորաքույրներն եք, համոզեք՝ չգնա: Բայց նա ուզում էր հերոս դառնալ եւ ստացվեց իր ուզածը. ոչ մեկը չկարողացավ նրան հետ պահել:

Սուրենի հայրը Հաճնից էր, մայրը՝ Էրզրումից, նրանք կոտորածը տեսել էին, եւ Սուրենն էլ նույն ոգով էր դաստիարակվել՝ որ պետք է անպայման թուրքից վրեժ լուծի, ինչ գնով էլ լինի՝ անգամ իր կյանքի գնով»,- ասաց Սուրեն Ճարատանյանի հորաքույրը՝ Անահիտ Ճարատանյանը:

Սուրեն Ճարատանյանի զինակից ընկերներն այսօր անցյալով են հիշում ազատամարտիկ ընկերոջ հետ մարտի դաշտում անցկացրած կռիվներն ու հպարտությամբ նշում՝ Սուրենն առաջինն էր մտնում կռվի մեջ, վերջինը դուրս գալիս:

«Նրա համար առաջինը հայրենիքն էր, մի նպատակ ուներ՝ երազում էր ծովից ծով Հայաստանի մասին: Առանց ցուցադրության լուռ կատարում էր իր մարտական աշխատանքը: Վերջին մի կտոր հացն էլ պետք է մարտական ընկերոջ հետ կիսեր, երբեք ոչ մի բանից մենակ չէր օգտվում: Իսկական կռվող էր, իսկական հայրենասեր»,- ասաց Սուրեն Ճարատանյանի զինակից ընկերներից  Կլիմենտ Ալվրցյանը:
