Сбор вопросов от россиян традиционно начался ровно за неделю до выхода программы. Задать интересующий вопрос можно, позвонив в call-центр по тел. 8-800-200-40-40, написав SMS или MMS на номер 0-40-40, на сайте http://moskva-putinu.ru или через социальную сеть "ВКонтакте". 

Все поступившие вопросы будут обработаны, а наиболее интересные - заданы главе государства. Центр обработки сообщений будет функционировать до окончания прямого эфира.

Рекорд по числу заданных президенту вопросов принадлежит "Прямой линии с Владимиром Путиным", состоявшейся в 2015 году. Тогда российскому лидеру поступило свыше 3 млн вопросов. За 3 часа 58 минут он успел ответить на 55 из них.

А вот абсолютным рекордом по продолжительности стала "Прямая линия", состоявшаяся в 2013 году — она длилась 4 часа 47 минут. Путин тогда ответил на 85 вопросов.

Традиционно больше всего россиян интересуют вопросы, связанные с жильем, жилищно-коммунальным хозяйством, социальной защитой. По итогам каждой "Прямой линии" президент всегда дает многочисленные поручения членам правительства, министерствам и ведомствам.
