«...Մեր զինվորներին՝ զոհվածներին ու վիրավորվածներին, այժմ էլ դիրքում կանգնած, պատերազմական դաժանությունների միջով անցած ու միանգամից առնականացած երիտասարդ տղամարդկանց ինչպես էլ պատվենք, էլի քիչ կթվա: Այնպես որ, մեզ մնում է լուռ գլուխ խոնարհել նրանց առաջ, ում «էրեխեք» ենք ասում: Այնպես որ, մենք կարող ենք ուզողներին ու հատկապե՛ս չուզողներին գլուխներս բարձր նայել:

Հա, բայց նաև ներողություն խնդրելու տեղ ունենք մեր այդ երիտասարդ հայրենակիցներից, որովհետև մենք իրենց համար մի կարգին ու ինչպես ասվում է՝ երջանիկ մանկություն էլ չենք ապահովել: Հակառակը, դեռ մի բան էլ՝ պարտքեր է, որ վերցրել ենք, թողնելով իրենց ու իրենց հաջորդ սերնդի ջահել ուսերին:
Ներողություն խնդրելու տեղ ունենք, որ մեր այդ հայրենակիցների համար բարձրակարգ կրթություն ստանալու լիարժեք հնարավորություններ չենք ստեղծել:
Ներողություն խնդրելու տեղ շատ ունենք...
Կարևորը, որ մեր սխալները իսկապես հասկանանք ու գոնե իրենց չխանգարենք՝ ուղղել այդ սխալները:
Ներողություն խնդրելու տեղ ունենք, որովհետև զանազան առիթներով, տրտնջացել ենք ու ընդհանրացրել, թե՝ «հիմիկվա ջահելներն էն չեն»: Մինչդեռ, ցանկացած սերունդ ունի իր որակյալ ու անորակ ներկայացուցիչները: Մենք այնտեղ անք շահել, որ այսօր՝ կյանքի ու մահվան եզրագծում, պետության ու ժողովրդի պաշտպանության առաջին դիրքերում մեր նոր սերնդի որակյալ ներկայացուցիչներն են կանգնած: 
Դեռ շատերը առիթ կունենան ավելի հիմնավոր ու բազմակողմանի անդրադառնալու այս ամենին, ինչը հիմա ֆենոմեն կամ նման մի բան են համարում 18-25 տարեկան մեր ռազմիկների այս հերոսական դրսևորումը: Չգիտեմ, թե ով ինչ կասի, բայց ինքս այն զգացողությունն ունեմ, որ սա ցանկալի արդյունքն է արդեն 25 տարի անխափան անկախ պետականություն ունենալու:
Ընդամենը քառորդ դար: Քսանհինգ ծանր ու հիմնականում բազմազան փորձություններով ուղեկցված տարիներ, որոնց ընթացքում արդեն մի ընդգրկուն սերունդ է հասակ առել: Եթե կուզեք՝ անկախության սերունդը: Ու այդ սերնդի սիրտն ու գիտակցությունը զերծ են այլևայլ ժանգոտ վախերից: Հակառակը՝ տիրոջ ընկալումն ու վարմունքն ունեն: 
Ընդամենը 25 տարի վերականգնված անկախություն ու նման զորե՛ղ, լուսավոր սերունդ: Դուք հաստատ ավելի լավն եք, քան մենք էինք: Դուք հաստատ ավելիին եք հասնելու, քան՝ մենք կարողացանք: Դուք հաստատ ավելի լավ եք նորոգելու ու շեն եք պահելու Թորգոմա տունը»:
