Համասյանը «Mockroot» ալբոմի համար լավագույնն է ճանաչվել տարվա միջազգային գործիքավորող անվանակարգում (International Instrumentalist of the Year):

Կայքը տեղեկացնում է, որ ECHO Jazz մրցանակը շնորհվում է Deutsche Phono-Akademie (Ձայնագրման գերմանական ակադեմիա) կողմից. մրցանակաբաշխությունը հավասարազոր է ԱՄՆ-ում անցկացվող «Գրեմմի»-ին: ECHO Jazz 2016 մրցույթի տարբեր անվանակարգերում հաղթած արտիստներն իրենց մրցանակները կստանան Համբուրգում մայիսի 26-ին: 

Տիգրան Համասյանը ծնվել է 1987թ. Գյումրիում: Երեք տարեկանից սկսել է հետաքրքրություն ցուցաբերել երաժշտության հանդեպ: Յոթ տարեկանում ընդունվել է երաժշտական դպրոց: 1997թ. տեղափոխվել է Երևան և լրջորեն սկսել է զբաղվել ջազով: 2000թ. կայացած Երևանյան երկրորդ միջազգային ջազ փառատոնի ժամանակ դաշնակահարի կատարումը լսել է ֆրանսիացի ջազային դաշնակահար, փառատոների կազմակերպիչ Ստեփան Կոչոյանը, ով հաջորդ տարի նրան հրավիրել է Ֆրանսիա` միանգամից մեծահասակների մի քանի փառատոների մասնակցելու համար: Ելույթ է ունեցել միջազգային խոշորագույն փառատոների ժամանակ և արժանացել հաղթանակների ու հեղինակավոր մրցանակների: 2006թ. ֆրանսիական «Նոկտյուրն ռեքորդս» ձայնագրման ընկերությունը թողարկել է երաժշտի առաջին՝ «World Passion» ձայնասկավառակը: 2015թ. նախաձեռնել է «Լոյս ի լուսո» երաժշտական նախագիծը`նվիրված Հայոց ցեղասպանության100-րդ տարելիցին:
