Բրիտանացի և սինգապուրցի բժիշկները նկարագրել են, իրենց կատարած հետազոտության համաձայն, ձեռքերը լվանալու ավելի արդյունավետ միջոց: Գիտնականները խորհուրդ են տալիս այն կիրառել բակտերիաների դեմ մանրակրկիտ պայքարի համար: Աշխատանքը հրապարակվել է Infection Control & Hospital Epidemiology ամսագրում:

«Ձեռքերի հիգիենան դիտվում է որպես ամենակարևոր միջոց ինֆեկցիաների տարածումը կախելու համար, բայց սահմանափակ տվյալներ կան, թե դրա որ մեթոդն է առավել արդյունավետ»,- ասում է հետազոտության առաջատար հեղինակ Ջեկի Ռեյլին: Ձեռքերը լվանալու ընթացքը փուլերով ցուցադրված է նկարում:

Մասնագետները հետևել են 42 բժշկի և 78 բուժքրոջ, որոնք հիվանդների խնամքից հետո ձեռքերը լվացել են սպիրտ պարունակող նյութերով: Այդ ընթացքում բժիշկները գտել են ձեռքերը լվանալու՝ ըստ իրենց, առավել արդյունավետ մեթոդը, որը ներառում է 6 փուլ (ավանդական միջոցի դեպքում դրանք 3-ն են):

Առաջարկված միջոցը հնի համեմատ՝ ձեռքի վրա բակտերիաների միջին քանակը նվազեցնում է մոտ 20%-ով, սակայն 25%-ով երկար է տևում (42,5 վայրկյան 35 վայրկյանի փոխարեն):
