 «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման ահաբեկիչները մայիսի 5-ին ականապատված ավտոմեքենա են պայթեցրել Էլ Մուհրիմ Էլ Ֆաուքանի քաղաքում, որը գտնվում Է Հոմսից 45 կիլոմետր արեւելք ընկած շրջանում, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

Ինչպես հայտնել Է նահանգի նահանգապետ Թալյալ ալ Բարազին, պայթյունից հետո հրապարակում հավաքված բազմության մեջ մոտոցիկլետով մխրճվել Է երկրորդ ահաբեկիչը: Նա գործի Է դրել եւս մեկ պայթուցիկ սարք:
