Բրիտանական «Playboy» ամսագրի մոդել Քերի Փարքերի մոտ անցյալ տարի ախտորոշվեց ուղեղի քաղցկեղ։ Քերին ասում է, որ ուռուցքի հեռացումից հետո ինքը բոլորովին այլ մարդ է դարձել։ Սնդուսափայլ ամսագրերի շապիկները զարդարող զվարճասեր մոդելը վերածվել է ամոթխած աղջնակի։ 30-ամյա Քերին 2003 թ.-ից սկսած մասնակցել է ազգային գեղեցկության մրցույթներին, լուսանկարվել է ամսագրերի համար, իսկ 2012 թ.-ին պաշտոնապես դարձել է Playmate և տեղափոխվել Լոս Անջելեսի «Playboy»-ի առանձնատուն։ Նախքան վիրահատությունը նրա մի ոտքն Ամերիկայում էր, մյուսը՝ Մեծ Բրիտանիայում, որտեղ էլ գտնվում էր նրա սեփական խոշոր մոդելային գործակալությունը։ Քերին ժամանակ էր անցկացնում Հյու Հեֆերնի լոսանջելեսյան առանձնատանն անցկացվող Playboy-խնջույքներում և զվարճանում հանրահռչակ աստղերի, այդ թվում՝ Լեոնարդո դի Կապրիոյի հետ։ Նա նկարահանվել է կինոնկարում, որտեղ հանդես է եկել իբրև Մեգան Ֆոկսի դուբլյոր (կրկնորդիչ)՝ աստղի փոխարեն նկարահանվելով մերկ տեսարանում։ Ամեն ինչ փոխվեց անցյալ տարվա նոյեմբերին, երբ մոդելի մոտ գլխուղեղի ուռուցք ախտորոշվեց։ Քերին վերհիշում է.
Մոտ մեկ տարի շարունակ ես բողոքում էի վատ ինքնազգացողությունից և գնալով ավելի ու ավելի վատ էի զգում ինձ։ Երբ վերադարձա Եգիպտոսից, շատ ուժեղ գլխացավ ունեի և չէի կարողանում նայել վառ լույսին։
Փետրվարին վիրահատեցին նրա ուղեղի ճակատային հատվածը, որը կարգավորում է հիշողությունը և անձնային գծերը, այդ թվում՝ ինքնաբուխությունը, իմպուլսիվությունը, ինչպես նաև սոցիալական ու սեռական վարքագիծը։ Քերին ներկայումս նախըտրում է իր ժամանակն անցկացնել բազմոցին նստած հանգիստ թեյելով։ Նա նշում է, որ ենթարկվել է «անհատականության փոխպատվաստման». «Սկզբում դրանք ընդամենը մանրուքներ էին, սակայն շուտով ես մեծ փոփոխություններ նկատեցի։ Ես կարծում էի, որ լավ կլինի վերադառնալ մոդելային բիզնեսին, սակայն ես չկարողացա դա անել։ Դա տարօրինակ է։ Ես միշտ եղել եմ խնջույքների կիզակետում, սակայն հիմա ես ամաչկոտ եմ դարձել։ Ես իմ գայթակղիչ զգեստները փոխարինել եմ հարմարավետ հագուստով»։ Թեպետ վիրահատությունը հաջող է անցել և ֆիզիկական կողմնակի ազդեցություն չի նկատվում, աղջիկը փորձում է  համակերպվել իր նոր անհատականության հետ։ Իր կտրուկ փոփոխությունների պատճառով նա կորցրել է բազում ընկերների։ Այդ փոփոխություններն անգամ նրա ճաշակի վրա են ազդել։ Օրինակ՝ հիմա նա բոլորովին այլ ուտեստներ է նախըտրում։ Քերին ասում է, որ փորձում է լավատես լինել ու քայլեր է ձեռնարկում անձնային գծերի փոփոխությունը կասեցնելու համար, սակայն վստահ չէ, թե դա իրեն որքանով կհաջողվի։
