Վրաստանում ՀՀ դեսպան Յուրի Վարդանյանը կատարել է աշխատանքային այց Վրաստանի Սամցխե-Ջավախեթի տարածաշրջան: Այցի շրջանակներում դեսպան Վարդանյանը հանդիպում է ունեցել Սամցխե-Ջավախեթիի նահանգապետ Ակակի Մաչուտաձեի հետ: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից:

Հանդիպման օրակարգի հիմնական թեման էր ապրիլի 23-ի լույս 24-ի գիշերն ազգությամբ հայ և վրացի երիտասարդների միջև տեղի ունեցած միջադեպի հետևանքով ստեղծված իրավիճակը, դրա հաղթահարմանն ուղղված քայլերը։ Այս առումով դեսպան Վարդանյանը իր խորը մտահոգությունն է հայտնել նահանգապետին և հույս հայտնել, որ միջադեպերի մեղավորները արժանի պատիժ կստանան և հստակ քայլեր կձեռնարկվեն նման միջադեպերը հետագայում բացառելու ուղղությամբ։

Նահանգապետ Մաչուտաձեն ՀՀ դեսպանին վստահեցրել է, որ կշարունակի իր անմիջական վերահսկողության տակ պահել միջադեպի առնչությամբ հարուցված երկու քրեական գործերի ընթացքը և զարգացումների վերաբերյալ պարբերաբար տեղեկատվություն կտրամադրի հայկական կողմին:

Այցի շրջանակներում դեսպան Յուրի Վարդանյանն այցելել է նաև Ախալքալաք, որտեղ հանդիպում է ունեցել Վրաստանի խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Սամվել Պետրոսյանի, Ախալքալաքի շրջանային ժողովի նախագահ Համլետ Մովսիսյանի, Ախալքալաքի շրջանի վարչության նախագահ Էդուարդ Աղասարյանի և շրջանի վարչության նախագահի տեղակալ Հարություն Հովհաննիսյանի հետ: Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել է Ջավախքի տարածաշրջանի հայ ազգաբնակչությանը հուզող հարցերի լայն շրջանակ:

Դեսպան Վարդանյանը ընդգծել է համայնքային կյանքի ակտիվացման համար հետևողական քայլերի ձեռնարկման, համատեղ ծրագրերի մշակման անհրաժեշտությունը: Ապրիլի 23-ի դեպքերի համատեքստում դեսպան Վարդանյանը ներկայացրել է այս կապակցությամբ ունեցած իր հանդիպումների և հեռախոսազրույցների որոշ մանրամասներ:

Ախալքալաք այցի շրջանակներում ՀՀ դեսպանը այցելել է նաև Սուրբ Խաչ հայկական եկեղեցի:
