Օդեսայի նահանգապետ Միխեիլ Սաակաշվիլին հայտարարել է, որ չի պլանավորում Ուկրաինայի Գերագույն ռադայի պատգամավոր դառնալ՝ նոր քաղաքական ուժի ստեղծման շրջանակներում, որի մասին հաղորդել էր Ուկրաինայի գլխավոր դատախազի նախկին տեղակալ Դավիդ Սակվերելիձեն:

Ավելի վաղ վերջինս հայտարարել էր նոր կուսակցության ստեղծման մտադրության մասին, որի գաղափարախոսներից մեկը լինելու է Սաակաշվիլին: Նրա խոսքով՝ կուսակցությունը կենտրոնանալու է փոքր ու միջին բիզնեսի վրա:

«Ամենասարսափելի երազում չէի ցանկանա տեսնել, որ ես Գերագույն ռադայի պատգամավոր եմ, սակայն ես կարծում եմ, որ մեր նպատակը  Ուկրաինայի իշխանության նոր քաղաքական էլիտա բերելն է: Իրականում այդ ամենը ես չեմ կազմակերպում, ես դրա համար ժամանակ չունեմ»,-ասել է Սաակաշվիլին:

Սաակաշվիլիի նախաձեռնությամբ Ուկաինայում հակակոռուպցիոն ֆորում էր ստեղծվել: Դրա շրջանակներում նա հայտարարել էր, որ մտադիր է չեզոք շարժում սկսել՝ ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարի համար:

Վրաստանի նախկին նախագահը, համաձայն Ուկրաինայի սահմանադրության, չի կարող Ռադայի պատգամավոր ընտրվել, քանի որ երկրում բնակվում է 5 տարուց պակաս:
