ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Ենս Ստոլտենբերգն անհրաժեշտ է համարում Ռուսաստանի հետ համագործակցել Սիրիայի հակամարտության լուծման որոնումներում:

Այդ մասին նա հայտարարել է Le Monde թերթին տված հարցազրույցում:

«Ռուսաստանը մեր գլխավոր հարեւանն է եւ կմնա այդպիսին: Նա, օրինակ, դրական դեր է խաղացել Իրանի հետ միջուկային ծրագրի շուրջ համաձայնագրի հասնելու եւ Սիրիայում քիմիական զենքի ոչնչացման գործում,- ասել է Ստոլտենբերը:- Մենք պետք է շարունակենք աշխատել Մոսկվայի հետ, որպեսզի Սիրիայում քաղաքական լուծում գտնենք»:

Պատասխանելով այն հարցին, թե պլանավորված է արդյոք Ռուսաստանի եւ ՆԱՏՕ-ի խորհրդի նիստ անցկացնել Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի՝ հուլիսի 8-9-ը Վարշավայում կայանալիք գագաթնաժողովից առաջ, Ստոլտենբերգը հայտարարել է. «Հանդիպման ամսաթիվը պետք է որոշվի Մոսկվայի հետ միասին: Մեզ համար կարեւոր է երկխոսություն վարել եւ խոսել միմյանց հետ», հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
