Նյու Յորքում հունիսի 8-ից 10-ը  կկայանա ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ի խնդիրներին նվիրված հանդիպումը: Հանդիպմանը մասնակցվում են  ՄԱԿ-ի անդամ պետությունների բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներ, դեսպաններ, միջազգային կառույցների և հասարակական կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչներ, ՄԻԱՎ-ով ապրող մարդիկ:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարությունից, ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ի խնդիրներին նվիրված այս քննարկմանը մասնակցում է նաև ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարար Արմեն Մուրադյանի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը, որի կազմում է ՀՀ ԱՆ ՁԻԱՀ-ի կանխարգելման հանրապետական կենտրոնի տնօրեն Սամվել Գրիգորյանը:

Հանդիպման մասնակիցները հնարավորություն կունենան քննարկելու ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ի դեմ գլոբալ պայքարի առաջընթացը, ներկայացնելու ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ի խնդիրներով 2001թ. հատուկ նիստի ժամանակ ընդունված ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ի դեմ պայքարի ոլորտում պարտավորությունների հռչակագրով և Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի բարձր մակարդակի հանդիպումների ժամանակ 2006թ. և 2011թ. ընդունված ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ի վերաբերյալ քաղաքական հռչակագրերով երկրների ստանձնած պարտավորությունների շրջանակներում արձանագրած ձեռքբերումներն ու հաջողություննները, վերլուծելու բացթողումներն ու մարտահր ավերները:

Հանդիպմանը երկրների համար հիմնաքար կդառնա ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ի դեմ պայքարի ակտիվացումը` նախանշելով առաջիկա հինգ տարիներին ՁԻԱՀ-ի համաճարակին հակազդմանն ուղղված միջոցառումների կարևորությունն ու հիմնական ուղղությունները:

ՄԱԿ-ի ամբիոնից ելույթ կունենա ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարը: Հանդիպման ավարտին ՄԱԿ-ի անդամ պետությունները կընդունեն մինչև 2030թ. ՁԻԱՀ-ի համաճարակի վերացմանն ուղղված քաղաքական նոր հռչակագիր: Այն կհաստատի համաշխարհային հանրության հանձնառությունը հիվանդության կանխարգելման, բուժման, խնամքի համընդհանուր հասանելիության ապահովման ուղղությամբ` ընդգծելով համընդհանուր պատասխանատվություն:
